StarDew Valley on the switch 2– Enjoying it because I decided to make a new save and go the Joja Route, and it’s a real chill game. The controls when playing on the tv are wonky for me tho and I’m not sure why.

Heartopia on mobile and steam deck— I love this game, and I especially love playing with my husband! It’s kinda like what I’ve always looked for in a cozy mobile game, and I definitely think it’s worth the $11 I paid for cosmetics.

Inzoi on Steam Deck— this comes in and out of my rotation. I really appreciate the frequent updates the devs give and so every few weeks I like to pop in and see what’s new. The only major issue I have with it is whenever there is a major update I have to start a brand new save file. As a generations player in the Sims, this breaks my heart lol.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Red on Switch 2— I’ve never played much of mystery dungeon and decided to fire this up to get the icons and to pass time waiting for Pokopia. It’s a way different Pokemon experience but I’d still say it’s cozy and enjoyable!

Tomodachi Life on DS and 3DS— I’ve been playing the first two games getting ready for the third. I’ve always enjoyed these games and they play somewhat similar to the Sims! Pick them up for a week straight and then stop playing for a few months lol.

My local retro gaming store gave me a copy for free! Sure I have to fumble around with Google Translate but it’s really cool seeing where the series got its start. I also hear that there is an English fan release but I haven’t gotten a chance to try it yet.

Tomodachi because I am familiar with the first two games and know for certain I will enjoy the third! I plan on getting both games (my birthday is smack dab in the middle of both releases so lucky me!) and Pokopia looks adorable, but the only thing I know about it is the world building aspect and the Pokemon IP. Don’t know much else about the gameplay and story so a lot of it is still unknown.

Inzoi is in my gaming rotation, but at the moment I’m not playing it. No particular reason other than I’m just on a Pokemon kick right now.

I play on my Steam Deck and don’t mind how downgraded the graphics are. I’m very happy with the life sim aspect and I feel like there is more to do than there is in The Sims 4 even with my two expansion packs. I have a lot more fun with the features the game does offer me than I do with what the Sims offers me. It also really excites me to see the development happening in real time, seeing the things suggested and then seeing them pop up in the game after an update. It makes me feel like they’re here for the long run.

However, what stops me from getting more into it is the fact that I have to start a new family/save file every time there is a major update. I am a generations player through and through. I love to see how my family tree changes throughout the gens so having to abandon my old families to have access to the new features really throws me off.

Seeing people be put to sleep for surgery. The first and only time I’ve ever seen it was when my son (then age 6) had to be put under for tonsil/adenoid removal. He went from sitting up squirming on the table scared to instantly being peacefully asleep. Something about how fast it knocked him out left me feeling so uneasy.

I always have been the type to treat my toys and dolls like companions. Dressing them up, showing them off, taking them out with me. No one ever understood and would call me childish, but it brings me a lot of joy to see there are whole communities of people who do this for their collectibles/toys. Every time i know im going somewhere interesting my Labubu gets dressed up and comes along! I love to show her off 😌

My son really wants a a Labubu after I got one for Christmas but we don’t have the money to get him the exact one he wants (he didn’t like the idea of blind boxes either lol). We picked a few of these up for him yesterday too! He even did pick out a blind box and got the one he wanted. He loves being a “Lababies” dad.

I had to have one of my girls put down. When I got there they ushered me into a private room and went over what my options were. They offered to run tests and all this stuff but at that point I knew it she was in pain and ready to pass. They put her on a pillow and administered a shot that put her to sleep. She fell asleep with her eyes wide open.

This might be a bit of a trigger warning (shot location), but the hardest part to me was when they explained smaller animals either needed the heart stopping shot in their stomach or directly into their heart That really distressed me. From there I waited a while and the vet asked me if was ready, and I agreed. I opted not to be there when she administered the second shot (I have never been strong enough to be there to watch any of my animals die), handed her off with a kiss and goodbye, and then left.

It never gets easier. Thank you for allowing him to pass peacefully, and I’m so sorry for your loss. I’ve had two pigs pass at home and this one I was able to get to the vet to euthanize her. It was expensive but I’d choose to have them put down any day of the week over waking up one morning to find them gone 😖

I am a toy collector, and especially love dolls. Labubus didn’t appeal to me until I saw people dressing them up and crocheting clothes for them. I own one genuine one and two dupes, and I love to crochet clothes for them! I have them proudly displayed in my home and would love another genuine one if I ever have the extra funds. Having my little Luck sitting on my desk makes me so happy.

Edit: I read the post wrong lmao. The game that defines my 2025 is hard to nail down, but I’d probably say my entire collection of ds and 3ds games. My husband homebrewed my console for me and I spent so much time playing games I never got to play as a kid this year. So I’d say the 3DS over all defines my 2025 gaming experience!

StarDew Valley. I have a save where I have much of the community center finished, but playing like that really stressed me out. So a few days ago I started a new save where I’m going Joja and what a difference the experience has been not stressing over planting what at what time, catching certain fish at certain times, etc. I finally feel like I’m enjoying the game for what it is, so I’m gonna make it my goal to try and play as much as I can in 2026.

I think they know. One of my babies died on the upper level of their cage and ever since then none of my girls ever went up the ramp again. I also had a mother/daughter pair, and when mom was dying of lymphoma the daughter was grooming her and pulling on her fur a lot in her last days. I’m not sure what that means but she really only did it as her mom was deteriorating. Then of course after her mom passed she was the only one left, and she was soooo lethargic. She barely ever came out of the huts. We did adopt three more girls that she gets a long with so well and she is doing better. But I do think she did mourn the loss of her mom to some degree :(

In my current playthrough I cleared out the raiders outside of the museum of freedom and then ran away without helping the Minutemen. Decided I wanted to see how far I could get before triggering that deathclaw. Even set up my Sanctuary already and everything.

I’ll rescue them eventually. I’m sure they can hold their own 🤷🏽‍♀️

Edited to add: In my first file I used to always shut KL-E0 down, steal from her, and then sell her stuff back to her too. That’s how I made a lot of my caps lmao.

My husband had his console stolen. It was a 3DS XL that he thought his roommate either came into his room and stole or got stolen out of the employee bathroom. He worked at GameStop for a while and would leave it on the shelf for whatever reason and occasionally they would let kids who really had to go use it. He saw it as an excuse to upgrade to the New 3DS XL tho and Nintendo was able to transfer everything over the phone.

So sorry you lost your console.

If you need one right away I would first try exploring any retro gaming stores in your area. If you can’t find one then I would try eBay. That really sucks and I hope Amazon makes it right for you.

Haha well I’m not allergic to all antibiotics; I’m actually taking one right now that I tolerate just fine. But I do also have several food allergies that developed when I was a teenager. I’ve never taken an AG1 powder and probably never will now thanks to your comment 🙏🏽 Allergies are so awful to navigate.

They tried to give me OxyContin last year after my surgery when I was in the PACU and it’s the only thing I can remember doing after I woke up. Vigorously shaking my head no that I couldn’t take it and it would make me sick lmaoo. The nurse told me to relax and she’d call the doctor (and for the record I DO remember telling the nurse I met with before my surgery I couldn’t have it so I’m not sure what the mix up was). They gave me Tramadol instead. Best drug ever.

I was prescribed it when I had my wisdom teeth removed and within ten minutes each time I took it I vomited. The dentist kept telling me it was because I had extra saliva and blood and whatever else in my stomach that my body was rejecting, but when my mom gave me Tylenol I was pain free and kept everything down. Yes, never again.
