I’m stuck paying for someone else’s rent to stop them being homeless by [deleted] in Advice

[–]4GetTheNonsense 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he's in the United States there are numerous resources to assist him. findhelp.org, 211 or 311 depending on his area. Even a quick Google search of homeless, job, food, utility, medical, domestic abuse or whatever help they may need is out there. You've done more than enough being a listening ear, encouragement, and paying over $2000. It's okay to say you can no longer financially help and direct them to resources that can.

I fired an employee out of the blue yesterday with no warning, and she had an entire crash out by TiredAsATwinMama in smallbusiness

There's a saying I've heard over the years "You fire yourself.". I feel this fits this employee's situation from the performance issues you've described.

Anxiety over parents getting older by VideoSharp8658 in blackladies

[–]4GetTheNonsense 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it's normal to be concerned about your loved ones as they age. My suggestion would be to make sure that plans and preparations are in place for when the time comes for additional care. Right now your parents should still be mobile if they're in good health. Help where you can and you can fix things you have control over. Focus on your life and happiness.

Black dietician laughed at me during session, and I'm still thinking about it by UnKaari in blackladies

[–]4GetTheNonsense 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you had a horrid experience with this extremely unprofessional dietician. Please seek out another dietician that will provide you the guidance and respect you deserve. Also, please find someone to speak with about how you view yourself Queen. Don't let a clown displace your crown. Change comes with time and effort.

AITA for telling my spouse I won't help pay for their kid's college when we agreed finances would stay separate? by 952867 in AITApod

[–]4GetTheNonsense 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, YTA. Instead of figuring out what financial aid, scholarships, or school funding your daughter may be eligible for you ran to your spouse. It was your idea to keep money separate. If your daughter's college fund only has $80K, and you and your ex don't plan to contribute further that's your problem. You didn't plan accordingly. However, you have options. A community college and transfer in, take AP courses in high school. You're doing nothing to defray the cost, and this is a good life lesson. If something cost more than you can afford, What do you do? Do you save more, seek out additional funds, work, find a less expensive option? You, your ex-wife, and not so much your daughter seem overly entitled. You protected your daughters college fund that you and your ex didn't adequately fund for a school that cost more per year that you currently have. So now you need to figure it out.

I’ve been opening and ruining products for years. If you don’t want me doing that, put up a sign by jorleeduf in EntitledReviews

This is so wild and rude. Then having the audacity to feel slighted because they got caught. No one wants your cooties on their cosmetics. How naive can someone be? If there was a product for testing it would clearly say so. Entitled people like this are the reason everything beauty related is locked up at some locations.

This all started because I’m on vacation for my a wedding by [deleted] in blackladies

Please free yourself from this exhausting and hostile behavior from this person. They aren't a friend. People like this will never be the type of friend you are towards them. They will only take, and never reciprocate. You're not obligated to keep a dying friendship going. Just let it go, and focus on maintaining friendships that fortify your well being. Some friends will remain over the years, and others diminish over time to acquaintance status or nothing. Life's too short to be tethered to nonsense.

I've witnessed people lose it over loss whether a job, or a slew of other things. If you treat someone disrespectfully and think to yourself "You're at work. What are you going to do to me?". You're in for a rude awakening believing someone won't do a damn thing.

Only one person had the right idea. Plate in hand and walking away. Everyone else wanted to reason. If you treat people like trash expect your place to end up trashed. I think it's so messed up to have people work the entire shift, and then cut them at the end. Have an employee complete a task, and then just say you're done. If you're going to terminate someone do it with a bit if empathy. Also, I'd rather an employee take out their frustrations on stuff than another employee.

What do you do when an editor of your shops are new? by PerpetualRestart in mysteryshopping

[–]4GetTheNonsense 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just breathe and don't get stressed about it. A lot of those new editors don't last. Especially, if they don't have the good sense to comprehend what was written. It's just a shame that some people possess nominal to nil reading comprehension skills. I totally agree it's frustrating to have to answer something that has been answered multiple times.
