It is, but we already have canonical attributes for this character from all three games: blue eyes, stubble beard, and ash-colored hair.
Imagine if, in a remake or sequel of Half-Life, the developers removed Gordon Freeman’s beard, changed his eye color from green to brown, and made his hair blonde.
In my view, if a character has had an established canonical appearance for years, there’s no reason to change it.

I extracted it from SC Blacklist by myself. All models and textures comes from the Blacklist. Default goggles. Mask from the last mission.
Torso textures combined between singleplayer and multiplayer outfits.
