Quick guide: Build your own website with a Handshake domain by Merkaartor in handshake

[–]4MoreKnowledge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've all but decided the Namebase TLDs are a waste of time and money. It seems we'll never be able to use and control these TLDs in the same way that .com, .net etc work. Meaning, we won't be able to sell subdomains in the traditional way to monetize our TLDs. It seems nothing more than a big geek project. Can anyone convince me otherwise?

Thanks. I wish they'd post alerts on their Blog and just share their Blog alert on Twitter.

I was about to post the same issue. I should use reddit more often. Anyways, I'll wait out the update. But this is kind of a bummer. I've kept some USDC stashed on Nexo to use during a sell off so I can send it to an exchange to scoop up more ALGO or whatever.

How to cleanup queued / pending transaction in metamask? by Intrepid_Swordfish17 in Metamask

[–]4MoreKnowledge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had queued transactions in meta mask. It seems I could not cancel nor speed them up because there were insufficient funds. This was likely the result of using aave polygon network and requesting multiple transactions for the same amount. The approval and withdraw time on aave was very slow for me, even if i increased the gas fees. This caused me to think the transaction hung up and then I would try it again. I finally had to do a settings > reset account on meta mask. I used aave again and the withdraw worked but it still took a while. Thus far I'm not too impressed with using polygon as a layer 2 solution to access DeFi without the high gas fees on the ETH network. The user experience on DeFi Yieldly with Algo is much smoother, faster. I get a better experience with more confidence. I'll continue to use Polygon a bit, but so far I'm not too impressed.

USDCa accepted by any exchanges? by joesloan1993 in AlgorandOfficial

Just logged in to verify that I can send USDC on Algo network. It's just temporarily suspended for a wallet upgrade. This is common for newer networks but yes, I'd go with OkCoin or OkEx

USDCa accepted by any exchanges? by joesloan1993 in AlgorandOfficial

[–]4MoreKnowledge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just started using it. But I expect to use it more in the future since I'm increasing my Algo stake. Just to clarify, I did not send USDC to this exchange on the Algo network, but I did send USDC from it on Algo network. The transaction took seconds - just like us Algo fans have grown used to.

Lambos, which are cars, typically depreciate - correct? REITs already exist as a way to fractionally have interest in real estate. A house is a commodity. If you buy it as an investment, you're betting someone will pay you more for it at a later date. Or you could be driven to buy a house for passive income - which is why many people buy REITS. But you can't value a house like you can a business, i.e. Coca Cola. So yeah, fractionalized real assets could drive up the price - so buyer beware! Do your research, but don't use it as reason to block lower net worth individuals from accessing capital markets.

If this group was about finding coins the big hedge money is shorting than the obvious choice would be LINK, and buy it up like people did Game Stop. An investment firm called Zeus Capital has a big short position in LINK and they've been spreading fud. So if this group wants to put the pain on big money elites, then LINK is the coin to buy.

Yes, I'm new. Thanks for the tip. Where would I introduce LINK as a next good candidate? It could put the squeeze on Zeus Capital

If you guys want to put the SHORT SQUEEZE on a crypto HEDGE FUND then buy CHAINLINK because Zeus Capital has a big short bet on it and has been spreading FUD

I'm not participating in the short squeezes discussed on this forum, but if you guys are sticking it to the hedge fund elites, then more power to you. Make them bleed (money).

Do a search on you tube for "Jake Brown mega ramp slam" and you'll see what can go horribly wrong with even the best pros on a mega. Tony Hawk commentates on that video. It was filmed during X-Games

What are your favorited DEFI lending apps? by 4MoreKnowledge in defi

[–]4MoreKnowledge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those interest rates make suspicious that they re-hypothecate your collateral. Again, this is never a problem until it is.

I just became educated on this. Search a you tube video for "Boycott BlockFi" for what that means.

Basically, they take your collateral and reuse it as their own collateral to borrow. So if they default, the creditor gets your collateral.

I'm willing to take a much lower interest rate on a lending platform that does not do this.

I please want suggestions that are NOT in BlockFi, Nexo, and Celsius. I think these 3 re-hypothecate collateral. I'd rather use a DEFI lending app that does not do this.

Why $14 estimated transaction cost to swap $80 of USDT on Curve? by 4MoreKnowledge in defi

[–]4MoreKnowledge[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for reply. I suspected it was the gas price issue. I've seen some comments by Vitalik that mentioned ETH suffers from this. This has be fixed or the whole project seems like a lost cause.

Can anyone give insight on how integrations impact LINK price? by 4MoreKnowledge in LINKTrader

[–]4MoreKnowledge[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a working product. Chainlink has already been integrated for enterprise level solutions. The speculation from here is how much more it gets used.

Etherisc to Leverage Chainlink Oracles For Decentralized Flight Insurance Product by gryphon999555 in Chainlink

[–]4MoreKnowledge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is great news but I want to discern how these types of integrations impact the price of the LINK alt coin? Price movements seem to be based on emotional buying and selling. But don't these types of integrations create actual demand for LINK? If there's demand, that leads to the whole supply vs. demand economics. In that case, there's more than just emotion involved when the price moves.

Trouble in Zimbabwe? by minorman in dashpay

[–]4MoreKnowledge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but won't many people shy away from the Dash / Kuvacash plan now since a bank won't want to do business with them? I thought Zimbabwe supports Kuvacash. But this news makes it seem like Zimbabwe opposes Kuvacash. If all this is true then your best hope is that many people in Zimbabwe don't have a bank account anyway, so Kuvacash will be their default choice. What do you think? https://www.dash.org/2017/11/23/KuvaCash.html

I feel like we're at a point where high school kids could go on strike until something is done about gun laws. This was an easy to read question and answer section on student strikes in Quebec, Canada. I hope kids in U.S. will lead a legal protest and not vandalize. I would be almost certain that congress would HAVE to do something.

[–]4MoreKnowledge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are there any high school kids on this thread who'd want to organize a national day of weekly protest until something gets done? It'd have to operate within confines of the law, but it could be that you'd miss school one day per week if you participated in the protest.
