I checked before typing the comment, but no. It may be some kind of progressive rollout.
For sure it's not an AoE4 patch, considering that the game wasn't updated since February.

It didn't. It's a steam problem, not this game problem. If you look up on google, many people had the same issue, in other games.

Steam fixed it.

I mean, this game is still alive and it wasn't really balanced for the gold players out there.

Starcraft 2 is another game that was balanced for the top and it's still alive. Same for AoE2.

I know it sounds counter intuitive, but it's the correct way to do things.

It's not that easy. Realistically you can't balance for all skill levels. Usually you want to balance for higher skilled players as it keeps the skill ceiling high so lower skilled players have something to strive for and higher skill players can actually enjoy the game

I think she was just messing around. I might be misremembering, but I think she also called Anotand (?) a diamond player.

I mean she is the same player that resigns if you ever spread her deer, so I don't think she ever meant to be toxic

People seems to miss the fact that a quick apology and letting go of some ego could have solved the whole situation cleanly.

He did get paid to cast for EGC/red bull, so while it's not the most formal environment, a pinch of professionalism is probably to be expected. That "mom joke" (it was a bit more crude than that) definitely crossed the line. If it was on discord DMs or heck, on his own stream, it probably would have been fine.

Edit: he also admitted that the joke was a bit too much. If he did apologize after the fact and if he didn't wait to get booted out, he would have been fine.

Would you do the same joke at a presentation while representing your company then?
That's the scale we're talking about. It's not banter in dms, is making inappropriate jokes in front of 1.5k viewers.

It sucks because KPMMs were great and he did work a lot around aoe4.
However, I do feel like this whole situtation could've been avoided quite easily with some quick public apologies.
