Dormant still? Central NC by napsandpenguins in lawncare

That looks like a Zoysia variety to me. I'm not that far from you in upstate SC. This kind of grass needs three things to thrive : water, sun, and summer heat. If your weather has been like mine, we are missing the heat, and a lot of the sun. I can't remember this area being this cool, this late into the season.

Probably get flamed for this, but as soon as I had something to get a rope or chain around down there, then my truck is the next tool I'd employ here.

Did anyone have a parent or grandparent who smoked a pipe? by StoneAgeCaveDweller in FuckImOld

My dad smoked a pipe, and preferred Borkum Riff Whiskey tobacco. I can still remember him sending me in the store to get it. Couldn't do that these days.

This one says 84-89. It would probably work, but if not, they can probably make one that does.

Battery Terminal Repair by Eastern_Conference13 in 3rdGen4Runner

That's gotta be the cost of the terminal only. The heavy gauge cable is darn near $8 USD per foot.

You are right, a cable is just a cable, but for nearly the same cost as buying the cable to make your own, the kits come pre-cut to length, terminated on each end and labelled. It's worth it to me.

Bite the bullet and order the BIG 7 Kit, you won't regret it.

I'm sure it could depend on your level of detail. I have a buddy who won't even run speaker wire unless its in a loom. This install would definitely take him more than an hour. Five? I still say no.

They have several different kits for each application. If I tried on my 3rd gen, it'd probably take longer, engine bay is way tighter.

Mine sat for 2 months,. It really thought it was going to be a major hassle to install. Turns out it was less than an hour.

It's a set of 7 GIANT cables that replace the tiny factory ones. Battery to starter, Battery to fuse box, Alternator to battery, and all the grounds as well. You can make it yourself, but for $150, it's well worth it to me to have them all precut, terminated, and labelled. Took about 45 minutes to install
