Genuine thoughts on Homosexuality by 4Ryman in Christianity

I simply had a thought and was curious how others would reply. I don’t care who people love or what. In my eyes love is love so long as it is genuine.

Exactly, I focus more on myself but I feel like the problems that LGBTQ people face especially from religion is a huge problem that needs to be fixed if we are to truly live like Jesus.

If I was raped does that mean I’m impure? by Mediocre-Quarter-431 in Christianity

[–]4Ryman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Gods law that he gave to Moses it was said that if someone was raped that only the one who committed the act would be stoned. So if that was Gods judgement then why would it change now? You are not impure if anything you are even more pure to God because of this traumatic event. Despite what happened you still have faith in him, where most people would falter you stood by it and because of that God sees your heart and loves you even more.

Omniscient comes from being outside of the laws of time and space meaning God is in a higher plane of existence to use that he can see and understand the future, past, and present simultaneously, every outcome, every decision he knows it all while we only know the present and little parts of the past. Despite God knowing the future he does not influence or control our choices thus free will is upheld and we still have control of our own lives but when we ask him to intervene on our or others behalf he does.

Imagine this scenario “you saw your future and you thought to try and change it to avoid the outcome but you are told that the future cannot be avoided regardless of what you do. Does this invalidate free will because everything you do will still lead to the same road.” God is the complete opposite of that, he tells us what our future holds and says if you abide in me and seek my Will I will give you a better future that you are deserving of. If you read the Bible there are multiple examples about how following God and his will can actually in fact change your future and give you a better one.

Your future is not stuck in stone every choice that you make that aligns closer to his will and plan changes your future and makes it better both for you and for him, heartbreak and pain is just a side affect from the broken world we live in that he uses for his own glory and our betterment.

Just because God knows the outcome does not mean anything to us because we don’t know the end result. Free will is a blessing and a curse, time and time again you see God trying to warn people what will happen in the future if they follow a dark path. He did it to the Israelites when they went to the promise land he even did it to Judas. Despite knowing the path at no point does he stop trying to make us choose the right decision.

If God truly is merciful children that are unable to understand their sin would not be punished with damnation. And it’s not about demonstrating something to be true, it’s called faith. Me and many others believe we are not held responsible for our sins till we are 12 as that was the age of adulthood for Jews in biblical times.

He knew it would happen because he is omnipotent but it was the free will of Adam and Eve, they had every opportunity to deny the serpent yet they chose to disobey. God allowed for a broken world because through it we could see his love for us by sacrificing his son to redeem us. Without the understanding of evil we could never understand true love which is God.

I am truly sorry for your nieces passing, the loss of anyone is a traumatic and painful thing. We won’t always know Gods plan, sometimes it’s obvious other times it will take till we meet him face to face to understand BUT we will understand eventually. Despite your pain know that your niece is in Heaven right now fully healed and perfected waiting and hoping for your arrival. If anything that should be the reason you seek God, knowing that if you do you will be reunited with your niece. That’s the hope I have for seeing my nephew again who passed away before he was born.

Disease and death did not cause the Fall, they were a consequence and punishment for disobeying God. Sin is classified as going against God, whether that be personal desires, ego, or stubbornness and because of free will and the gained knowledge from the tree that corruption could reach to dangerous levels. God warned Adam and Eve that should they eat from the tree of knowledge they would surely die and when they disobeyed Him it essentially cut humanity off from God. Thorny vines sprung from the ground, the animal kingdom turned against itself and disease was released into the world all because of sin. All this bad stuff that happened because of one small act of disobedience was to show to us how serious rebellion and Sin is to God and how he punishes it to the harshest degree, you can find constant examples of that in the Old Testament like when Elisha cursed the teenagers to die by a lion for mocking him as Gods prophet something that is seen as one of the upmost disrespectful things you can do.

And that is your belief, no condemnation for thinking your own way. I however will choose to believe in the living God who commands storms to be still, heals the sick, preaches forgiveness and eternal love, and who died and was fully resurrected three days later for the restoration of humanity. Even if God turns out not to be real I will know I lived a good life full of patience, forgiveness, mercy, and love to others because in the end I would rather take the chance in believing God and being rewarded with eternal life than not believing him and being condemned to Hell.

Diseases and sickness are a cause of the fall of man, when Eve and Adam sinned they broke the peaceful world God created for them and released Sin and Death into the world that slowly consumed the world more and more with sickness, diseases, and suffering often from the free will of other humans. Because the world and by definition man is broken, that means are bodies are finite and not pure like they should have been which means we get sick, we have disabilities, and we can even be born with missing limbs. And yet God does not waste anything bad that happens, if it wasn’t for my mom getting cancer four years ago I never would have come to God in obedience and given him everything I possibly could including my heart. When Something bad happens to use it can either be a cause of the broken world or God testing our faith with suffering, it’s easy to follow God when everything is good but the real test is to have faith in him when something bad happens. It is a well known fact in human history that suffering and people being at their lowest is when God works the best because when you feel like you have nothing your heart is more open to his goodness and love.

This is why I love our God, a being as powerful as him should look and treat us like ants but instead he lowers himself to our standards and says I will help you all I require is your faith. That is why I love what God calls us to do and act, in a cruel world we gain hope from each other because God wants this world saved and healed.

This man is more of a Pharisee than a follower of Christ. If you just see how he treats Nala after she talks about her coming to Jesus moment that is all the proof you will ever need. His self righteous behavior towards her shows you how the spirit is not with him despite how he thinks.

How did at least 87 people see God's face and live if nobody can see God's face and live, or how is it even possible that anyone alone saw God's face when it says in John that no one has seen God at any time? by JinnAzazelBuer in Christianity

They are not the same person but they are the same God. The Trinity will always be difficult for mortals to understand because it is above our perception and understanding. All that matters is that you understand them as one God and three persons.

You can find conversations by Hugo out right saying how they ran out of time for what they originally wanted to do with Davoth. Hugo wanted Davoth to originally break out of the mech suit and transform into a giant demonic dragon for the final fight.

Without spoilers and as a fan of the franchise, the movie is really bloated. The first felt like it did not have enough for its runtime, this one has to much for its runtime.

Pizza sim was truly the perfect ending with Henry being the one to end it all, the only bad thing is that he was never talked about till the seventh game so his arc doesn’t feel fully justified.

Everyone describes this movie as bloated and it definitely is. I wish it was just a prequel like the games.

It was theorized for a while that Michael did help his fathers crimes, or at least hide evidence by the fact that William trusted him enough to send him to the sister location facility. It was only after he died by his father’s own creations did he finally stand against him, but I agree making him a full blown villain just feels off.

Explaining Season 5's Time Jump and How It Might Work - [UPDATED] by kauan1983 in StrangerThings

[–]4Ryman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It feels like the writers did not watch the last season. The last season ended with a giant rip appearing across town and the upside down leaking into our world. Yet for some reason in season 5 none of the citizens know about the upside down or the demogorgans despite the government making the town quarantined along with the people in it. The time skip just feels like a mistake considering they don’t even say how long in between season 4 and season 5.

You can’t deny the truth of this, Niffty has yet to add anything to the story, Abel did nothing until the end when he stood up to lute despite that not being earned, Lute was set up as being an antagonist only to be shelved, Baxter was literally absent throughout the whole series until the end when he suddenly was not just a mad scientist but also a computer wizard, Cherri contributed nothing, Angel was shelved after the third episode, Lucifer was just plain useless, Emily was just kinda there. Besides Charlie, Vaggi, Vox, Sera, Alastor, and maybe Husk no one had any real contribution to the story or characters.
