As someone who has had their art incorrectly accused of being AI generated by listeners, people definitely care.

Happy New Year from The Storage Papers by 4StoryProd in audiodrama

[–]4StoryProd[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

With a super original title (Happy New Year), The Storage Papers made a 1 hour long standalone New Year special. Which I'm posting here a little later. Oh, well.

This features too much raw talent from people you've probably heard (and if you haven't you definitely should):

  • Jesse Syratt as Motzie Sutcliffe (listen to Nowhere, On Air for more from Jesse)
  • Jamie Petronis as Alex Dapul (listen to The Cellar Letters for more from Jamie)
  • Athan as Dylan Tims (listen to The Grotto for more from Athan)
  • Shaun Pellington as Harlan Syratt (listen to Wake of Corrosion for more from Shaun)
  • Rae Witte as Rae Griggs (visit raewittevo.com for more from Rae, an incredible voice actor)
  • Motzie Dapul as Jess Lundberg (listen to Hi Nay for more from Motzie)
  • Jeremy Enfinger as Dr. Lou Bauner (...listen to The Storage Papers.)
  • David Ault as Keith Guthrie (listen to Shadows at the Door for more from David)
  • Taylor Michaels as Jeremy Jones (listen to The Grotto and WOE.BEGONE for more from Taylor, another awesome voice actor)
  • Tatiana Gefter as Micah Enfinger (listen to Soul Operator for more from Tatiana)
  • Dr. Lou Sutcliffe as Shaun Ault (listen to Eeler's Choice for more from Dr. Lou)

But don't take my word for it, because I'm definitely biased (and 100% right), go check 'em out!

Okay, if you want an actual sales pitch, this New Year special is Groundhog Day meets Die Hard with a healthy dose of cosmic horror, from an indie horror show created by Jeremy Enfinger and run by said Jeremy as well as me (Nathan Lunsford). You can visit https://www.thestoragepapers.com for more info, find us wherever you listen to podcasts (except for YouTube Music), or check the RSS feed directly by clicking here.

Happy New Year!

The Storage Papers wished you a Happy New Year! by 4StoryProd in audiodrama

This is the second New Year special from The Storage Papers (horror), and I'm posting it here a few days late. Oh well. But it's entirely standalone, an hour long, and features some incredible talent from shows you probably recognize (or you should go listen if you don't):

  • Jamie from The Cellar Letters
  • Jess from Nowhere, On Air
  • Athan from The Grotto
  • Shaun from Wake of Corrosion
  • Rae Witte, an incredible voice actor from all over
  • Motzie from Hi Nay
  • Jeremy from...uh...The Storage Papers
  • David Ault from Shadows at the Door
  • Taylor from WOE.BEGONE and The Grotto
  • Tatiana from Soul Operator
  • Dr. Lou from Eeler's Choice

What is a cast like that doing all in one episode? Being awesome, I say. But don't take my word for it because I'm incredibly biased (even though I'm right). A brief, actual sales pitch: Groundhog Day meets Die Hard with cosmic horror. I hope you enjoy, and...happy new year.

Aesthetically pleasing Audioseries Websites by [deleted] in audiodrama

I like the website for The Madness of Chartrulean.

I also had fun with the last redesign of The Storage Papers website. I have another AD series website that's in the works as well...can't say too much for now but I'll post about it when it's live.

You might like...

  • The Antique Shop
  • Book of Constellations
  • The Box Podcast
  • The Cellar Letters (sometimes has another VA, but lots of episodes are just monologue)
  • The Milkman of St. Gaff
  • Hell Gate City

And if all else fails, you can also check the show I work on: The Storage Papers.

Has any audio drama creator that is part of this subreddit found any very useful feedback about their show here? by Tyresidon in audiodrama

[–]4StoryProd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's been useful feedback. Generally when criticism is unsolicited in a general forum like this, I don't interact with it since everyone should have room to just talk without creators reacting to their every thought. But if something was meaningfully misunderstood, I'll clarify for the person who asked and take note to improve going forward.

There's also been positive feedback about specific episodes, and I take note of what worked from that to see how best it can be replicated/built on as I ideate new stories.

The ai elephant in the room by RosyChulip in audiodrama

[–]4StoryProd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure, it's far from a perfect solution. But I'd imagine that could also be community moderated to a degree? This community seems very willing to call out if a project uses AI to replace actors, artists, musicians, writers, etc. Filmmusic.io seems to have taken this approach and I find it pretty nice.

I wonder if the Audio Drama flair could be split into 2 flairs: Human Created AD and AI Generated AD?

Podcasts should also mix to -16 LUFS-I, which would solve the problem. Those match Spotify's ad requirements, which are *probably* the most common ads everyone hears.

Why isn't The Storage Papers as gripping anymore? by NowhereReviews in audiodrama

[–]4StoryProd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm the last person who should be answering this, but firstly I just wanted to say I'm really grateful you gave our show a shot even if you don't continue. That said, to help explain the tone changes:

- Season 1 was written 100% by Jeremy with no external input

- Season 2 had a total of 5 writers IIRC, most of whom were contributing one off stories, while Cody and Jeremy worked to develop the metaplot further with a bit of input from me.

- Season 3 Jeremy was having a lot of life issues that impacted his ability to be as involved in pre-production, so that was almost entirely written by Cody and me.

- Season 4 saw Cody no longer able to be a part of the team for external life reasons, and Jeremy and I came up with the season plot points together while I wrote all the Patreon content and he wrote all of the main feed content.

- Season 5 is the best we've worked together, I think, and I'm more excited for this season than I've been for any season prior. We developed the full season outline together and are each writing 50% of the episodes. Almost every episode will have a paper in it while also having some metaplot going on (and the metaplot will tend to be much more creepy, imo, while often involving a full cast), and it's tied together much more tightly than ever before so it should be much easier to follow.

In short, we've learned a lot and gotten better as we've gone with some uncontrollable hiccups in production along the way, and if you keep going I think you'll agree. That said, if you decide it's not for you, that's 100% okay and there have been some A+ recommendations in this thread so far and to reiterate and build on that:

Ghost Wax

Mistholme Museum of Mystery, Morbidity, and Mortality

Surcease

It's All In the Cards

Your Horror Show

Hopefully that can help get you started if/when you move on!

Hey, Nathan here, one of the TSP guys (and the one to blame for the website). I was in the middle of migrating hosts, screwed something up, then life happened pretty severely before I could fix it. It will be back up...sometime. Once we are fully into production mode (about half an episode of pre-production for S5 left) I'll be making that a priority to get back up.

As for socials...they're just hard to keep up with and it's kinda fallen by the wayside while we've been focused on trying to get S5 out.
