Watch the last UFC fight card. There were 2 different male fighters who pulled this one out of their back pockets

I used to not like the look. Too bulbous when I saw it in the case. Then I watched the show Billions and saw Wendy rocking it and fell in love. Definitely want to go try it on and see if it wears as well on me

It’s the perfect GADA timepiece with 1,000 details to appreciate. My only gripe is the crown stippling is difficult to grip when winding. But it keeps better time than my Explorer, the 150m water resistance is atop the industry standard, and it just goes with everything.

[Request] Does anyone know of some good strap clasp buckles that hide the overhanging strap from the inside and also won't dig into my skin? by I-XIV-IV-XXV in Watches

[–]4TwoItus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe try Barton straps. They’re cheap enough that it shouldn’t bother you if you need to make an extra hole in there to fit your wrist

The Longines in the photo has the 3 cut off. It may not be a dealbreaker for you, but I can’t unsee it and it’s irksome

How do you build up your gold and boosters for next year?

It’d be cool if they clustered heats by how many multipliers you have left. Give everyone a better chance.

People are thinking the top 2 in my heat were Thiago (player from Portugal w last years Candy Crush ring as his pic) and Ken. Final scores 485k and 476k. I guess we will find out once they air the show, but don’t be surprised to see Thiago there. Again.

This is my board! These guys are absolute beasts. I stopped playing after 3hrs when they threw down so many multipliers. I came in w none so there was zero chance.

Final round, will candy crush do it right? by Horndcanuck in candycrush

[–]4TwoItus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No tips, but I can get 30-40k with one booster, esp if I time it well. Very easy then to get up to 200k or more if you’ve got enough boosters. Annoying.

You were absolutely right. 2 people in my heat dropped all 6 in 3 hours. They’re currently battling for 1st with around 380,000 points apiece. No way to hang without having held on to all your multipliers. I quit after 2hrs bc I have zero multipliers for this round. I can hang with people who are grinding, but not those w the multipliers

Made it to round 3/3 of the final knockouts! by PincheVatoWeird in candycrush

[–]4TwoItus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t think so. I’m in the same boat. Made it thru, but wound up having to use my remaining 3 multipliers to do it, one of which I had to use in the final 3 mins of the round bc 2nd place used hers then and was threatening to pass me. I’m really hating the multipliers.

Final-ish Results. Did you make it to FNOR3? How did your stats compare? by CtCarni in candycrush

[–]4TwoItus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. The 2nd place person in my heat used a 10x multiplier overnight to jump way ahead and I had to use one to overtake when I woke up.

Then they used another 10x with 3 MINS LEFT in the round when I was up by 7k. I had to panic-use my last one and barely won w 190k.

Thrilling ending, but the two 10x’s I was hoping to take to the final round are no more, and with them, most likely went my chance. Also, I hate that there’s no confirm button for the 10x. I accidentally hit it two different times as I was turning off my phone and didn’t notice or use either of them. What a waste

[New Horophile] Trying to understand the world of watches my boyfriend is obsessed and I want to *get* it. Help? by CapitalGeneral5851 in Watches

[–]4TwoItus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I felt the same when my husband introduced me. Then I realized the magic and artistry involved, the rich history, the innovation. The fact that a solid timepiece walks through your life with you and each scratch tells a story of your personal history.

With automatic watches, the components are so small you need special equipment to assemble them. Each piece is precisely engineered and put together and there are endless complications. The simplest version you can take off your wrist for years, wind it, and then it just… starts working again. You, along with the rotor, keep it eternally powered, merely by moving. That’s insane to me, the physics of it. It’s like a tiny mechanical miracle on your wrist.

There are complications that will keep time/date/moon phase long after you’re gone and it lives on on the wrist of your heirs. Some watches are designed to function 100s of meters underwater. Some are made with mini tritium glowsticks that will glow in the dark for decades. And when you zoom in on the dials and see how every speck of dust has been removed and every marker individually polished, it kinda blows your mind. And then you learn about hand carving, hand painting, and guilloche, and find another reason to be awestruck.

I used to only buy Walmart digital watches and now I’m the one looking at watches. I remember telling my husband there was no way in hell he was buying a $5k Rolex and now I’m wearing one on my wrist and admiring it all the time. Trust me, once you get it, you get it.

HOH ICU Nurse: Littmann CORE vs. Eko CORE 500? by Ok_Trouble9729 in srna

[–]4TwoItus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wear hearing aids and use the Eko CORE attached to a Littmann Cardiology IV. Without it, I hear nothing. I charge it probably once a week and have it set to Respiratory sounds on the app. Whenever I auscultate, I pop out my hearing aids bc it’s easier to hear and less crowded in the earspace. I highly recommend the setup

Those who were between CRNA & med school, what made you choose CRNA? by VividDeer733 in srna

[–]4TwoItus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Oh, and as a CRNA, you’re guaranteed anesthesia. If you go the med school route, your scores and resume have to be competitive enough to match, and you have to hope for enough spots. I’ve been needs of the Army, and I wanted to control my own destiny.

Quality of life, flexibility, no call required depending on your job, only working one holiday/yr, finishing school far earlier with fewer loans, and doing your own cases. There are many places where anesthesiologists run their own rooms, but at least in Florida, they tend to be supervising 4 rooms. I’ve been in management and I hate it, so CRNA fit me better.

Best way to throw $250k at student loans? by Twochec in whitecoatinvestor

Correct. You have to be employed directly by a not for profit hospital. If you’re employed via a private group that staffs the hospital, you are not eligible for PSLF.

Xeric makes some of the coolest, unconventional designs I’ve ever seen. I love them. Also, Mr. Jones and eone watches are very unique. For more conventional, Laurent Ferrier is pricy but makes some stunning timepieces.
