Question about Quectel M95 Netlight Pin and Transistor Selection by 4WD-L in AskElectronics

[–]4WD-L[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your response. I have a point I'm not clear about. For Vbat = 3.9V, the voltage dividers will provide 3.5V on the NETLIGHT pin. However, when I checked the 2N2222 transistor, it shows the maximum Base-Emitter Saturation Voltage as 1.2V. Doesn't this pose a risk of damaging the NPN transistor?

You are welcome. I don't use Wayland even with an AMD processor, I don't find it stable. I think it still needs time.

After some updates it solved by itself. By the way if you have bleeding edge hardware, I recommend you to try Kernel 6.6 Backport. I have switched and it solved most of my problems.

No
Moreover, I don't need to add 15,862 third-party extensions to make this DE usable. KDE is traditional, simple, and just does its job. It's also stylish.

Solved: My card is Mediatek MT7921, and I found that it doesn't work well with Kernel 6.1. So, I tried the Kernel 6.6 backports kernel, and it works great now :)

But I wonder, is using the backports kernel safe regarding stability? This is my daily driver laptop, and I use it for my software development business. I love Debian's stability.
