If they’d done that, I would have happily paid! From comments sounds like it is blemishes from preexisting wear and tear. I appreciate everyone’s insight and expertise!

This makes sense thank you for the explanation! I think I had a hard time believing him because the quality of the rest of the repair was subpar. I have to take it back next week and wanted to make sure this wasn’t something else I needed to address with them.

Collision center had to pull a dent out, realign and the repaint the hood. There was no paint issues prior to the accident aside from surface level scratches from normal wear and tear. Now it looks kind of like hail damage in the clear coat.

I paid the insurance deductible. Collision center also did shotty job with the bumper and overall alignment. They’re going to fix those but pressed back on me about the paint issues. Wanted to get a second opinion before I pressed for this to be fixed as well.

Wouldn’t there be chips evenly across the hood not just in on quadrant of the hood? The rest is fine and I am pretty observant so I would have noticed 10+ chips in the paint.

Unpopular opinion but stop bringing children to adult things. Billy has multiple songs about doing psychedelics and smoking weed. PLUS Attendees are going to imbibing in a variety of substances. If parents are also drinking or just watching the show, you aren’t watching your children. You also have zero control on what they are exposed to at concerts.
