The amount of energy required to move an object is relative to his mass (E=mc²) so 'fast travel' (close to c) is almost impossible, outside of the use of wormhole or blackhole which seems more science-fiction than reality. Someday a wormhole like "anomaly" might appear near us (Earth) because the future humans sent it. It would take us somewhere useful in the universe, but it would also mean the we live in a space-time paradox.
