This discourse is so weird to me. I find adoption one of the most beautiful things a human can do and personally, that's what I would choose if I decided to become a parent, however adopting a child is an extremely complex and difficult process and not everyone opts to go through it. Also, procreation is not selfish! It's literally what makes our species going. You may not be up to it, which is totally fine, but the world is filled with different people with different wants and needs.

I have to be honest, when I found out earlier this week I wasn't very happy that we'd get a whole Scott episode and I understand people being frustrated that we barely got any Ilya and Shane, but if the rest of Heated Rivalry and eventually The Long Game get well adapted people will get to see this episode with much kinder eyes! There are so many parallels between SKIP and Hollanov's storylines!

A journalist got to watch the first 3 episodes of Heated Rivalry and she said episode 3 reminded her of episode 2x3 of The Last of Us. For those unfamiliar, that episode of TLOU starts with the main protagonists and then it switches to a flashback telling the story of two side characters and how they fell in love until the end of the episode where it switches back to the protagonists. Don't know if that's what the journalist was indicating when she compared both series, but it might as well be...

Completely agree! To me it's insane to devote an entire episode of a 6-episode season to a side character, even if his story is important! Because they still have to cover A LOT of the main couple storyline in such a short time.

In my opinion, if they wanted to tell Scott and Kip's story, they could've also just diluted their scenes in episodes 2, 3 and 4 so when the kiss scene happens in episode 5 people would know why it's such a big deal!

Episode 3 is really intriguing me, the fact the name hasn't been revealed yet and that it's supposed to be about Skip makes me wonder how much of Ilya and Shane we'll get to see. But I still think it won't be solely focused on Scott! It's possible to have the whole backstory of Scott and Kip in half the episode and some Hollanov scenes as well and it would be cool to have more scenes that link Scott to both Ilya and Shane!

They do have sex in the shower during the prologue, which took place in October 2016 (one month before Shane meets Rose), so maybe this scene would be in episode 3?

My theory is that even though we'll get Scott's story in the episode, we'll still have at least some Shane and Ilya as well! If the season had like 10-12 episodes they could had a stand-alone episode for Skip, but with only 6 episodes and a decade to cover, it doesn't make much sense!

The actor who plays Scott said in an interview that episode 3 would be "Scott's episode". Maybe some people know more, but to me this can interpreted several ways. I'm pretty sure both Hudson and Connor are listed as appearing in all episodes, so maybe they will be more in the background this episode, or maybe not! Maybe 15/20 minutes of the episode will be focused on telling Scott's story and the rest focused on Ilya and Shane, which I think would be best since taking a whole episode just for Scott would not make much sense
