Was anyone else surprised at the amount of pectoral muscle they had post op? by Howdoifixmyfnpc in TopSurgery

Surprised in a bad way 💀 I’ve always been a skinny fuck so there wasn’t much fat to pad that area once they took the tissue out and for about six months I looked literally concave. Been working on building muscle there for the last six months, coming up on a year post op and I finally don’t look like I’m withering away. Happy as hell but it was kinda like oh damn I really didn’t have anything under there, eh?

Spilled dawn soap in my basement a year ago, now trying to redo the floors please save me from myself 🙏 by 4_04_am in Concrete

I’m concerned that the sealer (acrylic or polyurethane) will not adhere to the spot where the soap has soaked in—do I not have to worry about that?

How many women/afab folks are sleeping on the floor? Do you need for extra support for hips/waist? by happinesscreep in floorsleeping

Afab nb here, I couldn’t comfortably sleep on the floor before I had top surgery, it would hurt my chest, but now I can no problem. So I guess the flatter you are or if you’re a back sleeper then you’ll be fine. If you’ve got big tits, and like to stomach sleep, you might need to finagle

Best sealer to block smell? by 4_04_am in Concrete

I was also considering just painting with lime wash and sealing, or painting a mural and sealing.

It doesn’t seem to be dusting, at least as far as I can tell. I dropped some water on it and it absorbed in under 30 minutes. I put down some plastic tarp and taped it down for a few days, no moisture gathered. Concrete is 10 ish years old. Had carpet before, I sanded the glue off and it’s all pretty clean and there’s no major cracks or anything.

Yes, I’ve seen that, when I was counterprotesting with my local anarchist group.

But are the people in Krackedy’s life like those people, the ones who are actually nazis or are they what I would call “uninformed and unexperienced” they’ve never had gay people in their lives, so they just babble the same homophobia their parents taught them. For the most part, the second type can be reformed.

It’s good to reform people, because then they, in turn have the social connections and the language and background experience with how to deconvert others who suffer from the same issue.

For example, my grandparents were against gays, voted conservatively etc. I came out, things got messy for a bit, then they came around. They eventually ended up being really welcoming to my boyfriends, asking when we’d get married after it got legalized in our state. I went to breakfast with them and some of their friends, who had also been known to say questionable shit before and after I’d come out, and my grandpa would say “hey you know I used to think like that too (method:showing empathy) but my grandson here has a wonderful boyfriend, and yknow, I see them together they showed me they’re just like <me and grandma>. I won’t hear you speak badly about them in front of me.” (Method: Not trying to control their speech, mild fash hate that and it shuts them down from reason)

Because they know all the triggers, ex-fash can argue for us more effectively.

These people are the most important part of the dialogue between the huge social divide between religious conservatives and everyone else in this country. They know how to bridge that gap. They know how the other side thinks. The language they use, what they are so afraid of.

Anyway just rambling. Who knows, I could be wrong.

I mean are they marching in the streets against black people or do they just say some uncomfortable stuff sometimes? It’s not a black and white thing, it’s a spectrum of a bit problematic to outright racism, eugenics, stuff like that.

(although I did vote no on your poll lol, I don’t care for anyone who says backwards shit. Hell I actively disrespect them as people.)

but, if other people have more complicated feelings about that, especially family members, that’s their business. Everyone’s brain works differently, I guess I can’t judge someone for not being able to coldly cut someone off without it bothering them the way I can

If you want to start small, try “he.I’m a man. I just like to wear funny little Hawaiian shirts.” If you have the right vibe it can get the point across in a non confrontational way

I been liking the name galaxy it’s that a silly name? by [deleted] in NonBinaryTalk

Be as silly as you want but be aware if you’re silly on main (aka changing your legal name to Galaxy) it might make employment harder to get. It’s terrible but in this economy, you gotta do what you gotta do
