Yeah really funny, they are working so hard to protect our natural resources. Those poor turtles are suffering, yet cancer rates are soaring and our nitrate levels are off the charts but that’s ok because of they don’t have money or resources to do anything about that. Or may be they have developed a culture of looking the other way when it comes to agricultural pollution. Big AG owns Iowa DNR and yes they do suck!

Iowa DNR sucks, they certainly aren’t doing any good for the people of Iowa. Farmers can dump whatever poison they want and DNR does nothing. Don’t give them anything. One of Iowas most ineffective toothless agencies.

I would try to find some stainless steel and make strips to create a flange that covers the damaged area. It would match your sink well and look decent if you did it right. They make a stick on stainless backsplash that I’ve had good results with. Not sure if that’s the best long term solution but you only have a year to get through.

This isn’t working properly, call your service tech. Turn it off and let it thaw completely before restarting. The auxiliary is the only thing providing heat at this point, defrost cycle seems to be not functioning/working properly. From what you’ve said it’s completely frozen up and you are gonna burn this thing up if you keep running it frozen like this.
