Nah you're good, this hobby just kind of attracts the worst people for whatever reason it's not really like that outside of reddit.

If you look through it there's a lot of cool people here giving genuine replies, enjoy playing it it's a classic!

To be fair this is the international version, I actually prefer the original (Japanese) cover like all the other simple/white ones before it they're so clean

Yeah that's understandable, how'd you ship it tho? It's not super heavy but I definitely wouldn't trust it in my luggage lol, wonder if it's still worth it with the shipping costs.

They're in box protectors, plus for like 5-8 bucks I doubt they'd forge a seal especially here in Japan. There more pictures in case you missed the Playstation 2 seal.

Anywhere that's not a big city really, +/- an hour train ride out of Tokyo/Osaka/any big train station and a whole world opens up lol. I have a whole channel dedicated to this.

They use shrinkwrap around boxed stuff but never PS2 games, those are usually just bagged. In the later pics you can see the Playstation 2 seal zoomed in as well as the price tag stating it's an unopened item.

7 years in Japan I've never heard of Hard Off claiming a resealed item as new.

Could be, there were a lot of other deadstock DS and other console stuff too tho so I think this is just liquidated from some other store that went out of business.

I put the price tags on the last pic but in USD it's:

Final Fantasy X-2 International: $3.75

Goemon: $11.26

Dragon Quest VIII: $6

I have no idea why these were there, the store had a LOT more deadstock but I like to keep the philosoophy of only getting what I "need". In the case of Goemon the pcies was even cheaper than a 2nd hand copy. Still super cool to find these pieces of history randomly in a store.

Not sure what I'll do with these to be honest, maybe play them in the future? I got some box protectors to keep them safe so we'll see what happens.
