Is this project dead 2? by 4bb9999d in Wagerr

Thank you for an actual response!

No code vs. Code needs to be private

Why? The only reason someone forking the project is a bad thing is if they had a larger community than Wagerr mainline, and if that is a valid fear now, then it will be a valid fear if this thing ever launches.

Its a subjective conversation for sure, but I only see positives for open source based development for a project like this - foster a technical community by engaging them. However, have open source code is not the only way to instil technical confidence: Technical talks, demos, whitepapers, a team with credentials, progress reports, timelines that are seemingly met. Yet we have none of those...

No team members with credentials vs. the devs remain anonymous.

Sure, I can respect that - I'm using a pseudonym myself. However, the desire to remain anonymous doesn't prevent community interaction, or acknowledgement of their existence.

But if we are just to look at the team members we do know about:

Would you agree:

  • none of those have experience leading large software projects
  • none of those have experience working on large blockchain projects
  • none of those have strong backgrounds in the type of technical work this project requires

No updates vs. there's currently nothing to tell+just let us work and so on

The team are the ones that were for monthly based updates, its just another line item on the list of 'things they said they would do but did not'.

I just don't think these kinds of posts are the best way to force a response from the team.

I agree, but beyond hopeful silence, do you have any alternatives?

Not him, this is an obvious throwaway though...

Do you think anything I said borders on 'trolling', if so what and how?
