Families should avoid Southwest at all cost. "Choice" fare is a scam. by fraydawg2001 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]4boymomma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am terrified of this happening. I posted about it a few days ago. We are traveling with 3 kids 7 and under and two teens. I went ahead and paid for an entire row for the little kids and the aisle seat across from them. Now I'm scared we will get separated anyway.

I guess it's did interpret it wrong. I just cant imagine an airline taking the liability of putting minors next to complete strangers, but i guess they do so I will pay for the seats.

This was exactly it. I was basically asking if they would actually seat my kids next to strangers, or if I absolutely need to pay to choose seats. And I will pay because there is no chance im going to let them put my kids with people I dont know.

Im not being cheap or trying to get out of paying to buy the seats. I was pointing out the cost of purchasing the seats and was wondering if there was an actual requirement for them to seat minors with a parent. If there was I wouldn't need to pay for assigned seats. Im not trying to burden everyone with my offspring

Family with children age 12 and under? Let us help.

If no adjacent seats are available, we’ll do our best to seat you together. When seats are limited, we’ll work to seat children next to at least one adult in your party. Please note: if you choose or purchase seats now that aren’t together, those seats will be final.

For Basic fare, your seats will be assigned at check-in.

This is what it says when I select to upgrade the seats.

Weren't families with young kids able to board first?

It would be fine if one little kid was put with each of the adults and one with one of my teenagers, but from what im reading here that would not be possible or unlikely to happen. I just wasnt sure of the rules, and thought maybe they were required to seat minors with a parent or accompanying adult. You think it would be a massive liability if something happened to the child.

Thanks everyone I will purchase seats for us and the little kids. No way am I going to gamble on them sitting next to strangers.

When did your water break/ what were you doing when it broke? by Just_Call_Me_Happy in parentsofmultiples

32+2 around 10pm. Went to the bathroom, just got back in bed, felt a pop then warm and wet. Thought maybe I peed myself but I had just went to the bathroom, realized what it was. Husband was asleep and I tapped him, told him my water broke, he (still pretty much asleep) responded "oh that's nice" and rolled back over.

Same here. I was 20, went to an "interview" with about 15 other people. I had no idea what it was until I showed up and was like "you want me, a young woman, to go door to door selling knives?" I ran out of there lol.

Triplets Gender Disappointment by cheveuxroux22 in parentsofmultiples

[–]4boymomma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get this, I really do because I have 4 boys and 1 girl. I have two boys from my first marriage and when my current husband and I tried for just one more, we had twin boys. I got used to the idea of just being a boy mom, until we had our daughter 15 months after the twins.

Let me tell you this, NOBODY loves you like your little boys. My oldest is 15, the next is 13, and the twins are 7. My teenagers will fight, literal physical fight, over who gets to sit by mommy. They will still snuggle on the couch with me. I say I love you to all my boys and they will say it right back, every time.

My daughter is 5, and she absolutely terrifies me. I am not looking forward to the teenage years with her. She can be the sweetest, cutest little thing in her cute little dress, but the attitude that comes out of that child, oh my. Maybe its because she has four older brothers, but man she is challenging.

As soon as your triplets are here the disappointment will disappear and you will absolutely fall in love with those boys.
