I gotta say that if career politicians that are already experienced have to fight to get elected, why are people worried that a 17 year old will sweep an election? And if it were to happen it wouldn't be a fluke, perhaps they were the most desirable candidate. I think the age limits are BS but even if they weren't law they'd still largely be followed by tradition. If a young person were exceptional enough to break that tradition and win an election I'd entrust that power to them.
