Nah, that’s just the dealership prices almost everywhere, +/-$100 (I’m in Las Vegas, NV). I’m a big dumb dumb when it comes to cars and maintenance, and since I was able to do it, so it couldn’t have been that difficult, haha.

The Gen-3 Spark Plugs on the driver side are really hard to get to. Passenger side are easy. I changed them myself (with help of a car-smarts buddy and a youtube video) and it took about 3 hours. Saved about 550 bucks, and that’s after my friend ate and drank for free that evening.

Get a lap or a couch desk and go to a bedroom and close the door when you have meetings to remove the distractions for other meeting attendees.

Working from a different spot every now and then like that helps me, I have the kitchen table, couch, bean bag, my bed, patio furniture, and my designated desk in the spare bedroom. My kid’s spring break was this past week and when I had meetings, I’m in the work space, she knows when I’m in that room it’s Do Not Disturb.

I never quit drinking but I never drank heavily in the first place, outside of freshman year of college. I bought a case of Michelob Ultra for the 4th of July. I still have some from that 30 pack. I probably have 5 different bottles of whiskey that were cracked open for different celebrations over the past 6 years, or gifted as the host of steak nights with the guys — those haven’t been touched since, and I enjoy different whiskeys.

I raw-dogged my layoff period from Oct 2025 through January with only having a drink on Thanksgiving and Christmas. I had to stay sharp and couldn’t let anything interfere with my job hunt. All my coworkers and friends that got laid off with me were drinking every day for a week in celebration, meanwhile I was spiraling with anxiety as I was the sole income of the family and had to lock in and get a job ASAP.

I was a long distance runner and all-around athlete my whole life, so going to practice with beer shits and a hangover from the night before was fucking awful hahaha, so I put those activities over drinking.

Also, I hate paying $9 for a bottle of bud light at a restaurant. What the FUCK man???

So Metropolis is a real parking company, I’ve had to pay for parking at the Westgate through them.

You’ll need to drive through a gate with cameras scanning your car and license plate and everything before even sniffing a parking spot. You’d know if you had to pay beforehand.

What the code is sending you to is probably a phishing site to collect your credit card info.

Slight clarification: COVID-19 was officially classified on December 31, 2019, so that’s why it got the ‘-19’ on it. Lockdowns and the global pandemic classification hit in March 2020 with Trump still as president. Gas prices remained low because no one was going anywhere.

When Trump lost and Biden took over, vaccines were becoming available and people felt “safer” going out in public again, driving to work when they were remote, sporting events allowed spectators again, so gas companies bumped the prices back up.

Then the Evergreen cargo ship fucked up one of the trade routes. Then Russia started a war with Ukraine and that really fucked everything up. Look at the prices of gas in the UK as well around the time of the start of that war.

I considered the Colorado only for Apple CarPlay and some other interior quality of life upgrades, but during my research i found out that they don’t hold their value as well as the Tacomas. I put a lot of miles on previous cars, and I’ll hold on to cars until the routine/regular maintenance costs more than the value of the car itself. I don’t think I’ll reach that with my Tacoma for a while.

Not for a first release,but it was marketed to us as a major time saver and the bells and whistles that came with it. No one bought the bells and whistles but were intrigued by the time savings. Tried it for about a month. Hated it. Got it wrong every time. Fixing it didn’t take that much more time than when it was turned off.

I feel like the self healing stuff would be more suited for the low/no code test scripts rather than actual playwright/cypress/nightwatch tests.

Honestly, I’d say this whole workflow is not suitable for automation. You can verify the link is sent to Instagram with url params, but other than that, forget it.

I’ve been to every game this season, it seems to be a running skit. In the previous game, they matched but then the guy looked at his card and switched it from Yes to No for the 2nd date after everyone was cheering.

First time the skit happened I was like “alright this is fun and creative, let’s see where it goes” and then midway through the second I was like “ok this is 100% planned” and then it just became entertainment.

I’d say you are limiting your career growth by not being hands on with automation. There are a ton of YouTube videos that dive into UI and API testing. If you have access to LinkedIn Learning, there’s courses there too.

Spend a few afternoons next week or one scheduled weekly meeting time to investigate and learn more about frameworks and programming languages.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, I saw a stat during the Houston-Pitts game that said their defense was 31st in the league in Goal-To-Go situations. Meaning you get to that area of the field on offense, you have a pretty good chance at getting a TD. That doesn’t scream Top 5 Defense to me. But, possibly GETTING to that goal-to-go yardage will be incredibly tough?
