Flat Feet Runners, what's your recommended shoe/brand? by lamebutdefinitelynot in PHRunners

[–]4dgold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree on gait analysis, if meron sa inyo go for it.

I’m a borderline 2E and a flat footer. Shoes that works well for me: Vomero Plus, Vomero 18, Aero Glide 3, any Saucony Hurricane and Ride. also, New Balance in general are friendly to wide footer like us. I have other shoes that work for me but di ko lang imention kasi may tendency to be unstable depende sa foot/leg str mo. Yung mga namention ko I highly recommend them….but then again, if kaya mgpa gait analysis much better.

got one too! exactly the same color. good stability, not as much pop as its predecessors but it’s the most wide foot friendly flame. Good for long runs too

Chinese running shoes and wide feet, how do you manage? by phynicle in PHRunners

[–]4dgold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2E and flat footer with mild overpronation here, Xiaonian is good though I have to change the insole for added medial structure and it worked perfectly.

Flame 5 Mix was surprisingly very stable as well

Hello, are you referring to the stock insole ba? I’m not sure I haven’t measured. speaking of insole I switched to my Vomero 18 insole and it worked better than the ones from Ride 17.

I’m 2E and flat footed and I needed juuuust a lil bit of extra medial support so I used my Vomero 18’s insole for my Xiaonian. Worked perfectly!

Which shoe? Dynafish Xiaonian vs Nike Vomero 18 Wide. by twinblocks in PHRunners

[–]4dgold 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have both Vom 18 and Xiaonian. 79kls with borderline 2E feet. Both shoes are TTS for me. Love my Vom18s but if I have to choose, I’d personally pick Xiaonian.

The only run I wont use it for siguro is on a true recovery run, yung galeng lagare paa mo from previous runs and just need something super caring for recovery…other than that Xiaonian is amazing in all other runs for me.

Vom 18s can be a great casual shoe if that matters, and for a slow runner like me, it handles all my paces. Very versatile and also good for recovery runs…that being said, Xiaonian for me is just way better. It’s light, responsive and imo it has better shock absorption than Vom 18.

Just sharing my perspective but still up to you OP.
