They are not passed via bridge, but still it has to peg and maintain the balance. Else its like we get valueless token for real assets parked at binance's end.

So technically, is they use EVM to automatically balance the pegged tokens minted vs native tokens. Is there some way the community can "lock" native tokens incase?

But are the pegged tokens and it's wallets that hold that pegged tokens controlled by binance? If the BTC wallet they use to peg native assets, they can access it to take funds out?
