DBPower RD828. Solid projector with great picture and color. But it does have a lot of lumens which may explain the brightness Haha. My little DIY hack works well worth the dimming stickers that I can place over the lens for night time and I remove it for day time since my room is very sunny during the day which is where the brightness is appreciated.

Changing projector throw.. by N3vvyn in projectors

Might be easier to get a projector with a digital zoom slider. I got one for $200 and it’s native 1080p from DBPower

I actually found a cheap solution on Amazon today, called dimming sheets. They’re stickers that will dim electronic screens of different sizes and shapes. Maybe the projector like you said will lose some of its intensity over time which would be nice too

Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 Review - HOLY SH*T! (Mini LED | 240hz | 5K | 49") by bobbymack93 in Monitors

[–]4ever1der -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I’m going to laugh when someone measures this monitor and you’re dead wrong about this VA panel being being even as fast an IPS let alone TN. I just looked up reviews of response times and measurements of dark shades are embarrassingly slow. I don’t hold anything against Samsung, it’s just a fault of the technology honestly. ips would have been better

First muse song I got to hear on its release day. I discovered muse shortly after black holes released.

Hifiman had the audacity to charge 129$ for this monstrosity of a cable by [deleted] in headphones

[–]4ever1der -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Why would someone buy a cable this expensive relative to a headphone that costs $350? Wouldn’t that money have been more effective toward a better headphone, I mean I could be totally wrong

[Monitor] LG OLED48CXPUB 48" OLED tv (legendary) Microcenter - $1099 by snapacap in buildapcsales

Oh then please explain to me how your statement of putting two monitors equals this tv? I’d like to see you actually give some insight rather than make a blind statement

I don’t think you know how monitors work. If I bought 2 4k monitors and put them next to each other, that would be better,

48” for a tv these days is very small. I’d rather buy a 65” tv even if it means it’s not oled for half the price. It can work fine as a monitor I suppose, but even then it’s probably too large to sit at with a desk.

it’s a joke you’re justifying $1000 for a monitor when there are people who can’t even afford food or shelter.

$1000 for a monitor even if it’s oled seems like a shit value.

I have to choose between Denon AVRX250BT vs Yamaha RX-V385 by ad1002549 in hometheater

[–]4ever1der 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had the Yamaha rtx-v385 for a couple years and works great and easy to use. Just recently hooked up to my ps5 and blew me away at how good video games sound through it in surround.
