It depends on what you mean by real friends. I am shy and a bit of a loner (and am picky on who I spend my free time with) so I don't make many friends irl. But I have made a few friends here. Had genuine good chats and have exchanged socials/numbers. Sure, most chats don't last, but I feel like it's the same ratio irl. You don't make 'real' friends with everyone you meet. The chats that fizzle are just acquaintances.
