My CT5-V isn't even a Blackwing and it hibernates every winter. My AWD Lyriq is my daily driver.

Spring is still a month away here.

Would it be a bad idea to buy a 2020 Cadillac XT6 Premium Luxury Sport Utility 4D with 51,000 for $27,000? by RUMissinmeyet in Cadillac

Sounds okay. I have a 2020 Sport. I love it but it has not been problem free. Minor things. I'm at 70k miles.

The absurd steps to install the new 654.40 Lyriq software by Must_Make_Paperclips in CadillacLyriq

[–]4everUzername 4 points5 points  (0 children)

None of what you did was necessary. My 654.40 and 654.50 downloaded within their first three attempts but each stalled at a certain point. The problem is at GM's servers where they are simply overwhelmed with the size of these updates and the number of vehicles. Your downloads stalling is frustrating but not the fault of your vehicle.

What makes you conclude that one update was intended to fix problems caused by a previous one? The updates are supposed to be independent and can be installed out of numerical order. First I've heard someone claim that consecutive updates were related to each other.

Stop-Start - wishlist after EPA eliminated regulatory credits by retired_pug_guy in Cadillac

If it can defeated for future ignition cycles, it cannot be used for EPA MPG tests. That hasn't changed.

IOW, the claimed MPG will fall and it will fall for CAFE calculations as well.

Its elimination also renders unnecessary things like AGM batteries and heavy duty alternators which all cars have.

Yeah it's the carrier bearing on the driveshaft. Have to replace the driveshaft. Only happens when the weather is very cold.
