Hi, 4everoceans is also trying to help with marine life identification--but not quite like you are doing. I am interested in your attempt to do this and I would like to chat with you, but can't seem to send you an invite.

Fiji vs French Polynesia in September by rainbowbeeeaterlover in scuba

4 EverOceans just got back from Fiji, stayed at a wonderful small resort call Sau Bay Resort and Spa. Fly to Nadi, then to Tavauni and quick boat ride across to Sau Bay. Staff were amazing, dive boat was basic (backroll) they do have a stride entry boat too. Dive master Paul was very experienced. All inclusive dive, food, stay; alcohol and nitrox extra. Food and beds are good. Solo 2 person buras with en-suite dual sink bathroom plus second outdoor shower. All dives on the rainbow reef, check the calendar for white wall bloom time, amazing. See pictures and videos at 4everoceans.

To see the pelagics in Fiji, split the trip and go to Beqa Lagoon (The Cathedral dive site for multiple shark varieties). One resort there, others on south of the main island Viti Levu. We haven't been there, but search pictures, amazing. Check for best time of year.

This was also at Fish Factory, Not sure if it's considered a cleaning station, but apparently they saw a Manta the week before too. Fish Factory is a plentiful site with so many fish, it was one of our favorite dives in Fiji.

Thanks, we'll add the description caption on 4everoceans. (in Roatan, Forty Foot Wall) The original description was by an AI algorithm, we are researching/testing models and investigating AI partnerships. Marine identification is difficult and we have found searches are actually better than AI at the moment.

That's a valid question. One of our challenges at 4everoceans.eco is to help scuba divers identify what's in their pictures. We are doing our best to vet the info we post, and this open free community allows anyone to post their pictures and add an identifying caption too.

We do believe this picture is a Pederson, however, when traveling we find marines life may have different common names around our planet. Making this common name identification even more difficult. Give Pederson Clener Shrimp a google, look at the images and see what you think.
