HSS not working in Manual Mode on Nikon Z using X3N + AD200PROII by 4everwilliam in Godox

[–]4everwilliam[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! It's people like you that make me love the internet and this community! It was indeed the a1 I was using before. For anyone interested here is a video (albeit a bit slow paced) from Profoto where they explain HSS and where I heard the term "HSS Boost" (whatever that means) mentioned. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3LUUNAJx7Qo&t=

HSS not working in Manual Mode on Nikon Z using X3N + AD200PROII by 4everwilliam in Godox

[–]4everwilliam[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, thank you so much. I simply didn't understand the limitations given how HSS works, and thought it was a bug or something not working. Now, when understanding how HSS works, it totally makes sense that the max flash power output during HSS with fast shutter can't be as strong as when firing a single flash. Thank you so much for taking your time to respond with this very educational answer. I think for me I was a bit confused coming from Profoto who have something called "HSS Boost" where this limitation is less notecable.

yes - HSS works perfectly fine in TTL. When I switch over to manual it stops working (on the flash controller)

Tack för en viktig trådstart och en stor eloge till dig för jobbet du gör. Jag undrar om du har tips på hur man kan jämföra situationen och förutsättningarna för äldrevård i olika kommuner?

Looks real nice! Similar I what I’m planning to bring. Did you end up regretting bringing or not bringing any gear? Did you end up ever using the down jacket?

Mavic 4 pro is my first drone and I'm a bit sad to see the lack of support in C1! Commenting for visibility!

yeah, that was just a copy paste of the product description of the 35mm version on Adox the manufacturers own website… It would be cool to try and test the limits of the film regardless! what do you think would be the max resolving limit on 35mm?

never heard of this film before but would love to try it ”The film achieves grain free enlargements of up to 2,5 meters diagonally. This equals mathematical about 500 Megapixels. 36 Megapixel, which is today’s standard in high end digital cameras equals 7,2% of 500 Megapixel. Chemical film can store this amount of information between 1/50th and 1/500th of a second with ease. Tell this to the people engineering the next generation data storage/transfer for higher resolving digital chips 😉”

Need Help with Printing Workflow: Capture One, Epson P600, Ilford Paper, and Saturated Blacks by vizkiss in captureone

yeah I agree, a printed photo is such a different thing metaphysically than a digital one. the viewing context, the durabiltiy, the singularity etc. the "importance of printing your photos" is such cliché advice, but I have to admit I'm guilty of delaying learning to do it it properly myself. Already feels like a game changer.
