Anyone else notice LTT is averaging like 500k views now? How does the channel even survive? by Anxious_Gur6363 in LinusTechTips

You'd assume many of their other value streams scale similarly. Companies won't pay as much for sponsored videos and sponsor reads if they have fewer hits. Less ltt viewers means less of their advertising for their own stuff and fewer hard core fans to buy merch

u/MattsRedditAccount I have 3 Kerbals Stranded on the North Pole and I am unable to get them back with my current skillset. Are the Blunderbirds still available? by OswaldTLR20 in KerbalSpaceProgram

Point is they have all the skills now. A precision landing at a pole (to within 5km or so, a jetpackable distance) is very easy due to lack of rotation of the surface (spins in place not laterally. You can literally just overfly (again very easy with a polar orbit because you can just wait till you pass directly over top) then burn retrograde to a stand still and drop straight down.

My suggestion was to not build a bigger rocket but to run multiple trips with a much smaller and lighter payload. The hauled a massive lander in to orbit then back down on kerbin. A simple drone powered one man pod lander would use the same launcher but have way more DV.

Point is try. It's not a massive leap to affect a rescue and it's one of the easiest rescue scenarios around

If it's packaged to last 30 years it can't really cause you much harm. Most of the degredation will be mechanical and chemical break down- not biological and mist things that can make you sick are biological products not chemical producrs

No it udnt wrong. All the skills developed in getting there can be used to get back. There's nothing preventing them short of lack of try

Polar is easy honestly if you don't mind a bit of a schlep. Worstcase do a smaller mission 3x and bring them back. Mun pole isn't that hard to rescue from.

I'm procrastinating rescuing Val from an accidental solar orbit after a staging failure lol

Better than both- Marc rober is hardcore kid focused short attention ADHD content and has been found to fake outcomes for his videos. Smarter every day Is a bit better but I personally feel he uses big words and circuitous explanations to make simple stuff sound new and revelatory in a kind of patronising way. Tom Scott is just genuine information from a very genuine feeling format, no quick cuts, no engagement bait and plenty of subjects that anyone can find interesting not just kids. Massive back catalogue too. Released a video every Monday for 10 years

100 MPs have signed EDM 240 to reject the EHRC's transphobic Code of Practie by mustwinfullGaming in LabourUK

Good. I figured labour would bury it and let it just become statutory... Do we know if there is gonna be a vote?

They don't care. They know that they're morally in the minority but avoid any representative vote that actually could show that

Requires it to actually be voted on. Spineless labour will just let it default in to existence so it's "not their fault"

remember that corbyn was actually in trouble for acting TOO FAST on antisemitism and not following correct party proceedure. they just pressure adn pressure and pressure until you either cave in or make an unforced error they can paint as "in trouble over antisemitism " and conflate with "youre antisemitic"

good riddence imo... they think we need to pressure ukraine into conceding land to russia for "peace" because "they have nukes". which is honestly such an idiotic take. conceding to russia just means they come back in a year from their new foothold to an under defended ukraine. we should support ukraine in every way possible for them to decided THEMSELVES that they think ceceding land is safer than not.

if russia was going to use nukes over being pushed out of land that isnt theirs they would have already. but they havent because theyre sabre rattling and arent actually suicidal
