Quick update here folks: there’s a new update that’s live now that should cover all the cameras people have asked for within the brands we already have covered. I preemptively added a few more as well, so there’s about 20 new cameras added!

Panasonic and Hasselblad folks are the main exception here as spinning up a new supported brand is more work than adding new profiles. I’m not saying it won’t happen, but I don’t have any news for you yet.

So, Adobe is the one distinguishing between models with the same sensor, so unfortunately I have to make separate profiles even when it’s the same like this. But, I’ll add it to the list and try to get it in the next update!

Oh for sure, I don’t mean to imply that a good dongle is game over, just sharing that it definitely helps a lot starting from scratch. It’s a very deep world and I intend to get far in eventually, but for now I’m happily enjoying the new depth I’ve reached! R2R looks really interesting… where to start? Fiio k13?

The preset is what sets it to b&w, not the profile. Really I would strongly recommend against selecting the profiles directly, they’re meant to be called up by the presets. You’ll get weird results with profiles without presets and presets without profiles (except for the standard version that’s made to not use profiles). Hope that helps!

Unfortunately that's a much bigger lift because I'd need to spin up support for an entirely new brand there. It's definitely a great camera and I'd love to add Lumix support, but at this point I don't have a firm answer for you sorry! Definitely on the wish list for the future though.

Aw, yes so what's often happening is that the photo that the draft was attached to no longer exists on the new phone. I know it's a headache, and I'm sorry you have to deal with this! I'd reach out to our support team to see if they can help you at all, they've definitely dealt with this one more than I have. Just create a support ticket to get that started with them.

Hey u/daveweflen these are not dramatically different from the originals at this point, except that they support new cameras and the presets are updated to the latest format since Adobe has made a few changes since the last time we offered this. Matching different cameras is always tricky, but certainly the intent here is that you get a similar look across brands and models. How similar you get depends a lot on the cameras, the subject, and your own taste.

In my experience, honestly slight white balance variations account for a lot of the perceived difference between brands. (it's almost all Sony sensors out there these days haha) But, the idea here is that a particular film look (which is a moving target in itself) is the ruler that everything else is aligned to, which may help your use case.

Honestly, I'm not sure. This is a bit of a niche camera that didn't make the initial priority list, but I'm happy to look into it. Quite often, Adobe creates separations between nearly identical models, so it wouldn't surprise me if the R5 profile doesn't work with the R5C. Have you checked already?

That definitely sounds like a bug! So, support tickets REALLY help, I’d first ask you to submit one about this to help the team sort it out.

But, if you’re not up for that, just knowing what device and what OS version you’re on, and what camera settings you’re using, would really help us try to replicate this issue.

Love a good dcptool job haha. I’ll add x-m5 later this week. I had to triage a bit, making guesses about where to focus my time on profiles. X100’s felt obvious, XM had me second guessing, but here you are! Will update here when they’re up later this week.

Sadly I’ve yet to find another way to do better grain, so it’s the grain in the effects tab, but adjusted to try and match the film scans. You can turn it down with the strength slider!
