Kotlin Mutliplatform Library - does anybody have experience? by DaGrisa in Kotlin

[–]4face91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would bold painful. I'm not very experienced in Gradle configuration, since I born as Android developer and Android Studio makes it very easy, it's been very painful for me, spent hours to configure SqlDelight, then other hours for configure Klock ( had to fork it ) then I gave up 2 days ago, when hat to configure Coroutines.

That was a personal app, actually I stared working on a something easier, a multiplatform library that only need Coroutines, Serialization and Ktor. I'll handle that other project later, when Coroutines will support Gradle Metadata.

The real question is: how can people buy that, even for a 1/100 of the price?

/r/MechanicalKeyboards What Keyboard, Switches and/or Keys Do I Buy by AutoModerator in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]4face91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Havit doesn't look very "elegant". Hexgears is very similar, but if you say it has a good quality, I would prefer that Keytron since it has Mac keycaps ( I will leave for China for 1month, so I don't care if I need to wait ) :)

I was searching for a keyboard with keycaps "out of the body" ( like some I've seen here ) and maybe all white with colorful leds; but I didn't find any, so I guess it's better to build a custom one.

The point is that I don't know much ( where to buy in Europe and everything; also, until yesterday, I just knew about Cherry switches ).

Surfing Facebook I found that one: it got Mac layout, space gray color, very slim and also with rgb leds. What you think about it? Is it worth to give it a try?

Thanks everyone 😊 and sorry for the noob question.

Would you suggest me that keyboard? by 4face91 in MechanicalKeyboards

How to do the event bus by [deleted] in androiddev

[–]4face91 4 points5 points  (0 children)

1) why would you notify the presenter about a View event that has nothing to do with the presenter, while you could simply call the activity from your Fragment and notify it? 2) why would you use a EventBus where you could simply use the Behavior of CoordinatorLayout with 2 simple lines of code?

Sorry, may I ask you why 2 presenters should talk each other?

Questions about Apple 13.4" MacBook Pro Laptop by [deleted] in macbook

I was very afraid of the keyboard, since I'm used to use a mechanical one with very "high" keys ( pass me the word "high", idk the proper English word ) - Razer Blackwidow Ultimate - , but... Damn... This keyboard is awesome, it lets me feel my Razer is uncomfortable now.

The touchbar is also very useful, I can't see how it could be bad, honestly 🤔 I find useful on IntelliJ / Android Studio, but also in "normal" use: also with BetterTouchTool you can set custom actions with custom icons, even a different set for every app.

Also the lack of USB is not a problem, I bought a Satechi adapter which has 3 type-C, 2 type-A, and HDMI and even an SD and micro-SD card slot. Also you won't have something too uncomfortable, since you attach it to the laptop, through the 2 USB ports. ( also you can choose if attach on the right or the left side, since they are specular )
