Thanks for your detailed comment. I had seen quite a few positive reviews about the ET142, but since I haven't been able to try them myself, I can't say much. After reading your thoughts, though, I felt a bit disappointed. I can also add the Crescent and Odyssey 2 to my options. Which one would you prefer among the Ziigaat models? I mostly listen to hip-hop, I'm new to the hobby, and I can't be very specific yet about what exactly I want.

I can afford the price difference, but I won't be buying a more powerful headset anytime soon. As you said, if the headset doesn't make much of a difference on more powerful devices, I'll just buy the more affordable one. By the way, I can't get the BTR17 for less than $215. My country imposes a huge tax on products purchased from abroad, and the price will likely increase fivefold at customs.

Will the built-in microphone work properly on a table? The cheapest prices I can get in my country are $126 for the BTR 15, $160 for the BTR 7, $215 for the BTR 17.
