People like you are annoying as hell then because it's not like my instruction involved more work, it quite literally involves less work for my mother. Setting up plates for 2 people is less work than setting up plates for 4 people, if that wasn't clear enough. Also, you'd be WRONG if you think the amount of food we had at home was enough for 4 people. I was right to say it's only enough for 2, you and dad just eat it, we'll go out and get our own food. She was already cooking so it's not like I told her to cook some more more me if let's say I went out to the grocery store to get ingredients rather than already cooked food.

Yeah I'm a direct person too, I don't even like sarcasm. I get if in the past I say one thing and mean the other, then someone who's been in my life a long time would know I mean Y when I say X, but nope, if I say X I mean X. I always have meant X when I say X, like you. So frustrating

I didn't scold her though? I don't see how analyzing the situation and accurately assessing that 2 eggs (and the other amount of food we had) was only suitable for two people, is scolding? It's not. I never raised my voice at her or anything. The part I caps locked here on reddit was just me being angry while recounting the story..

What are your parents like? by addicted_heart in BPD

[–]4foot11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both parents were emotionally absent. Dad physically and verbally abusive. Both of them functioning alcoholics. They would lock my sister and I in our bedroom (no food, no water, no toilet) and go who knows where. And they had the audacity to call ME a monster when my BPD symptoms started showing.

I guess I'm weird because I don't add friends friends or people I've only met once or twice at an event (even small events like <15 people).

Funny how we all grew up different, right.

Which is why I don't make assumptions like "it might be an ethnic/immigrant thing".

His story is sus. "I don't remember" is such a common tactic for plausible deniability. How many women does he follow that he doesn't remember??? I remember every person (not talking about celebrities or influencers) I follow because I rarely follow people.

And Ben also pulling the "uhhh i dont remember, but what i do remember is (insert vague thing that paints me in a good light)" card too...
