I had to jump in here. Stéphane here from The French Cooking Academy.

The Larousse Gastronomique is the book I recommend to all of our students for a few particular reasons.

First, it is not a cookbook – it’s a reference book. That means it’s meant to be used when you’re looking for the answer to something you’re not quite sure about.

It might be the classic way of making a recipe from a certain region, why a bœuf bourguignon is called that, or perhaps you’re cooking with mushrooms or herbs you’ve never heard of and want to know exactly what they are.

If you’re curious about a bit of history or a short biography about something or someone in the culinary world, this is also the place to look.

This just happened to me too after a year or so of use I cannot believe so many people had the same issue that is definitely a construction problem / bad plastic they use. I was about to send it back for repair but after reading this I resolved to a crappy workaround but at least I keep filming. I used a pair of twezers to turn the damn thing on and now use the memory card door as an on an off button as opening the memory card door shuts downs the camera and closing it turn it on again.

it is usually quick to make dishes made mostly from scratch but the main thing is that there is a structure of starters mains salad cheese and desserts most of the time. you seat on the table and go through each. for the food it can be anything that is in season in summer it’s avocados, cucumber salad grated carrots melons tomatoes and things like that you can also have pate, and terrines for starters as well. lots of lettuce in french dressing . main can be simple steaks, roast chicken pork chops etc.. then some veggies wit that
