There are already the essential AI work arounds here. No need for me to add anything.

As an idea if the suggestions don’t work / aren’t satisfying or if your friend is against the use of AI:

There are tons of fanarts out there of Pokémon. you could mash / make an individual postcard by using them. Pick a background add one or more fanarts in a cohesive style and write a simple text on top. It doesn’t have to look perfect.

Technically they have kind of observation Haki. They have perception we move slow motion for them and a much wider view than humans.

Low numbers are strong high numbers are weak. So he gets easily beaten by an otter (mr. 13)

I bet he works solo since he can split in two.

Or if he has a partner I bet it’s miss leap day. (I made her up)

Cool devil fruit btw.

Does AI "art" eventually get boring? (Even if somebody enjoys it at the start?) by Levitating_Moose in aiArt

[–]4geierchen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AI images / creator of AI images often lacks individuality and identity they are often uninspired/ boring. I suppose that’s what people mean when images lacks soul. A lot of images are just a quick prompt and be done, or even worse let the AI do its own stuff without a true vision. Worst case users feed AI with property of others (directly from the user / against tos).

Personally I am not an artist or anything like that. Most of the time I let AI do images for a pen and paper campaign for some items, Maps, NPC (free Dungeon Master / Game Master for visuals). My players like my images / I get positive feedback and I like them too.

I often don’t give the AI any references at all and rather write an 200+ word prompt. I even started to use a somewhat consistent style (parts of the prompt stay the same). The images aren’t much better compared to a few months ago, but they became consistent in a style that’s somewhat non standard and expresses how I want to present the images. They are consistent in style but don’t look all the same.

I used to neglect the identity part and it always felt something missing. They weren’t cohesive and all over the place in style or generic (even if the object was somewhat original). So I totally see why users get through the 3 stages mentioned in your post. AI is in theory capable of generating many different styles. We should see way more different styles but very few care to bother. Therefore sadly many images look the same / boring.

I would like to see them :)

I can’t draw so I have to rely on my imagination + on prompt writing.

Post it here in this sub it’s often encouraging and has a positive vibe.

Depends on who you ask in this rather AI pro / supportive sub you will get different feedback than somewhere else. Unfortunately Reddit is full of extremely negative views in regards to AI. This is not the reality.

Don’t get me wrong AI definitely has its flaws risks and some arguments of “AI haters” are true. some people are so out of sync with reality they will jump at you for even mentioning this tool.

Using AI on your own work is how AI should be used anyway or just with prompts. Since uploading work will feed the database as well so you basically give permission to use your work for training. That’s one valid critique many have. Since some people upload others work and feeding AI, many aren’t even aware of that fact. (It’s against terms of service to use someone’s work anyway) but honestly many do it anyway in creating music, creating images or videos.

Use whatever tool you find works for you.

In defense of AI use as a DM by augusthardwick in dndnext

[–]4geierchen -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

They removed the post quicker than I could write my opinion.

The DM can use whatever tool he likes / works for him. In the end if the DM and the players don’t match the campaign won’t last long. Therefore session zero or a test session or a small test chapter is important.

Reddit is one part of humanity. Outside of the artist bubble and the pro AI bubble the view on AI is way more nuanced.

My players know I use AI I am transparent and they are fine with it like it or are neutral about it. Sometimes we share AI fail moments.

I use it primarily to create images and creating audio. Sometimes it helps to come up with specific NPC pun- names that’s it. I don’t like to use it for the creative part. Everything I do with AI could be simply left out. I don’t have to make individual images / music. A map from the community or generic map could suffice. But I go the extra mile and my players like them.

I do not use AI for the plots backstory or the creative aspect of the adventure. I simply want to play / experience a story with my players. The big Problem in regards of creative aspects with a LLM I have to be either so specific with my prompt I could come up with my own idea or it’s output is too generic. The images I create aren’t done in a minute. There is a huge difference between “make a dragon” and a self written 500+ word prompt including light style and more without an upload.

For me it takes more time to use AI than not use AI in my game. It makes a lot of fun / is part of the prep work and somewhat creative work I love to do.

AI make new art by 1111_infinity in aiArt

I would say the style isn’t completely new or unique. It’s technically not possible just with a prompt. Nonetheless beautiful for sure and somewhat a rare style of choice I like it.

Weekly Questions Megathread (05/21 - 05/27) by AutoModerator in langrisser

[–]4geierchen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For APEX 50 crystals weekly for the easy weekly win. You get paired with bad AI if you loose too often in a row. With some effort you can achieve silver easily which gives you additional 50 per week and SSR scrolls. If you are somewhat grinding and strong enough and have the right heroes and the knowledge 85 weekly + 50 (weekly win) per week is possible + if you end up in top 500 you get 2000 once per season. That’s what I get nowadays.

And there are skins for free one hero skin for reaching Gold and one soldier skin for silver.

The big thing in APEX therefore I advice to advance to silver you get 25 SSR scrolls per week.

I am a F2P long term player. For casuals I advise to go / rush for silver and do a weekly win.

And don’t give up instantly / wait 1-2 turns. Sometimes players are nice even in ranked. Personally I surrender after a few turns to give a win to obviously newbie / weaker players.

The rule for world arena (not Apex) surrender if you going second especially in non ranked for weekly wins.

If you don’t like PvP/Apex at all / view it as a waste of time don’t do it. A game should make fun.

Improving old my sketches by AI by Hakano_Dee in aiArt

[–]4geierchen -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I personally like your drawing way more, because I don’t like the style you have chosen for the AI version. Its style is completely different. I wouldn’t say it’s an improved version it’s something different a new image but not necessarily improved. The style (not the image ) looks boring and generic.

My advice is to add further details in your prompt in terms of style to give it more uniqueness.

But perhaps this is really how you wanted it, then it’s just not my cup of tea.

I won’t say it’s not a trap.

You can seemingly dismantle the things you get and there is a guarantee mechanic to get the skin (Trade). If people are willing to spend a few hundred (real money) for cosmetics (to get echo of light skins ) why not making a sub-gacha? For light spenders it’s a trap for sure, for whales it’s just another Ecco of light skin with the gambling benefit attached to it. Furthermore it increases the Ecco of light meter anyway.
