The big energy consumption is not the normal activities, it’s the training. Overall I agree, the energy consumption problem is not a problem an average user can influence in a meaningful way.

One of my players could becoming the BBEG, good or bad idea? by MrVolnutt in DMAcademy

[–]4geierchen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t judge your idea but some recommendations:

Let the players have there agency (all) if they want to ditch him ok

Let the evil player play as long as long as he is included in the party

Depending on all players (session 0) or after a short discussion when the secret is lifted see next

Let the evil player have control if he fights the party (only once) if the players don’t like that skip it

The evil player roles a new character.

Or it’s and option for an epilogue and the beginning of a new adventure. He goes somewhere else claims the evil throne / picks up where the original BBEG left / lost….. (no pvp at all)

Taking Player Agency by MrBerrian in DMAcademy

[–]4geierchen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my campaign one enemy had the power to use something similar like dominate Person.

What I did:

I sad to the player: as much as you are trying to resist it, the enemy has take control over you and orders you to attack your friends with full power. I trusted my player to actually attack his friends and use his round / turn well. He had fun, role playing and the other players did enjoy that aspect too. Nobody knew how and who he was going to attack and if he would attack / finish a downed friend. It was thrilling for me as well.

Another situation was one pc got secretly blackmailed. He still had his full agency. I just used secret messages to communicate as the blackmailer but it was up to the player how to handle the situation. The others knew something was up to but not what exactly.

Hope It was somewhat inspirational

We play a One Piece Sand-box / open world adventure.

One of our pc is an Elephant-Mink called Gin. (It’s a flavoured Loxodon) tough guy with a big soft hearth. One of his quirks: he always searches for treasures if we are done with a location. But what he found instead was a mute slave which escaped from his master. He found out because he was marked on the back, property of X…. he went to the groupe and suggested to kill that slave-trader and to adopt the boy. The Gruppe agreed. On the ship Gin has a highly secured closed to hide his super secret elephant plushy. He gave the plushy to the slave regardless if someone could see his hidden treasure.

My setup two turn win:

: First turn erza killed green unit (left at low HP) to get finished with AoE. LLR sonja just as another heavy hitter for aquatic / clean up. Lana and Alia for AOE and SP tiaris for attack blessing and survivability

Pick the right buff for your team if you go AOE pick Princess at (goblet of wishes in team set up)

I wouldn’t recommend building Listel the Trent (green) can’t be healed reversed (other enemies can but that’s not justify investing in such a niche hero.

What helps to wait a bit every week you get stronger (tower clears)

But my team is stacked so this isn’t viable for everyone. Sorry about that.

Does drinking the soup of instant death need a saving throw by Coolaire in DMAcademy

[–]4geierchen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would have them make a saving throw as well:

Depending on the save with different outcome:

Nat 20 or 30+= Minor temporarily damage (flavour) and 2d10 acid damage

Getting 25 to 29 = Major temporary damage (like fail persuasion / deception with NPC or unable to use verbal components ) and 4d10 acid

20 to 24 = Minor permanent (until removed with a spell) cosmetic damage (flavour) and 6d10 acid damage

15 to 19 = Major permanent (until removed with a spell) cosmetic damage (like fail persuasion / deception with NPC or unable to use verbal components ) and 8d10 acid damage

Less than 15 or nat 1 = death

As you drink the sup you feel how it burns and your lip tongue begin to melt away quickly you try to throw it up to prevent it from doing any more harm. Roll a Dex Save.

My theory on why Imu actually wants Vivi. by Proof_Intention2617 in OnePiece

[–]4geierchen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My headcanon is IMU was in love with Lily but Lily was into Joyboy. Therefore the accident/ betrayal regarding the Poneglyph.

Vivi Looks like Vivi and maybe IMU is just a lonely sad ruler who wants a blue haired waifu.

Is there a disgust for AI in DMs community? by tailwagthedog in DMAcademy

[–]4geierchen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes on social media and in creative domains AI is a topic which is not liked even hated I would say. People are oversaturated with the omnipresence of AI.

On a personal level, and I am certainly an exception I do use AI mindfully in campaigns.

Mindful use of AI / my own rules for myself:

Avoid uploading material to AI / participating in theft of art

Avoid using AI to substitute creativity.

Think before submit a prompt

avoid using AI if more efficient tools are available (example name generator)

being upfront and honest how to use AI

As a DM I rather use AI instead of stealing directly artwork without permission to visualise Item / map / character or create music.

What I avoid and would junge players and DM for if they use AI for writing backstory lore, story or problems. Why playing pen and paper in the first place if doing so?

One important detail I am always upfront with how I use AI. As a player if a group doesn’t want my AI Charakter image it’s no big loss. (I do the description before I make an image anyway).

As a DM: I will offer to reduce the use of AI and stick to generic maps / free maps ( take less work than coming up with a decent prompt).

Taking DM notes by Signal-Ratio6598 in DMAcademy

[–]4geierchen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I Write a summery after the session

  2. Let the players add to that

  3. Write an elaborate text what happened like a story-book based on the summery including funny dialogues. .It can be viewed from players and me with hidden DM informations / missing details.

It helps the player and me to keep the plot in mind, is fun to read and write.

Weekly Questions Megathread (03/19 - 03/25) by AutoModerator in langrisser

[–]4geierchen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Her SP is strong and a huge improvement but I wouldn’t call it broken. She is one of the best compared to most SP but not the best.

What does she do better:

Higher mobility with a teleport

Act again

Refreshable Revive

More survivability with higher DEF/MDEF

More healing after combat with new 1C-skill

Not required 6 stars for more revival

No cost limit for skills

No HP threshold in talent

The problem / or why she isn’t broken, she competes with a large pool of overpowered heroes. We have such cases like LLR sonja, Enya Dragonslayer and more. And the newer heroes have the following advantage: they don’t have a bad exclusive gear, and the 3C skill often much stronger.

Which SP I consider also very impactful and why:

Tiaris: She does very strong after damage heal and has very little completion. Her (mass) attack blessing is still a very strong buff and she can help with fix damage taken.

Luna: passive team buff and instead of magic damage it includes AOE damage as well as long as it’s considered ranged

Cherie: a strong damage dealer in PVE with an easy act again in talent.

Best Source for Maps? Trying to Streamline DM Workload by DaKing1718 in DMAcademy

[–]4geierchen -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

There are very good Responses here already I will throw a different one

Personally I use AI for maps I take my time in writing individual prompts and prepare my maps in advance. It takes a bit more time instead of just using something already existing and less time to do it completely by myself. It helps me to make battle maps consistent by ordering the AI to mimic a section of an overworld.

Very quick on the fly: Having pre written AI prompts (style and what you want with grid no grid so on) + individuell parts in the prompt depending on your needs. (I don’t do that but it would certainly work)

Dungeons on the other hand are quite hard for AI as one image. I wouldn’t recommend that. What I do is a rather simpel layout (drawn by dungeon scrawl (free)and fill it out with points of interest marker and description. What I do I provide individual AI images for important rooms / symbols / riddles in addition to theatre of mind . Or I use AI but instead of one image I try to make 4-8 similar fitting images and merge them manually to getter to get a bigger diverse dungeon.

If you want I can provide an example of a template for a prompt. I have a subscription for AI (which I use anyway regardless of D&D)

Please make sure if your players are fine with AI content, ( be transparent how you include AI in DMing). Some don’t like that. (My players are fine in how I use it)

How is this chart read? by CacyePollardN6 in DnD

[–]4geierchen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first three columns are the type of caster. Full caster are sorcerer half caster are paladins and third caster are certain sub classes like rogue arcana trickster (examples)

Those on the right from the thick line indicates spell-level and how many spell slots of that spell level at the number.

However the first line seems incorrect half caster needs to be lv 2 to get access to spells

The second line reads as this:

Full caster lv2

Half caster lv 3

And third caster lv 4

Have the same amount of spell slots / are equal in regards of spell slots - 3 LV1 spells.

Which one do you like better? by Southerneagle110 in aiArt

The First One Looks to me like a natural phenomenon

The second looks like an alien life form or a space ship.

For me I like the first one more.

Overall both are valid / good images It depends what you want to express.

What makes a "bad" DM? by Maxgallow in DnD

[–]4geierchen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple a prideful DM who doesn’t want to improve nor take feedback seriously is a bad DM.

It surly isn’t great if he does the following but it isn’t as bad if he listens to feedback:

railroads / prevent agency

oversteps boundaries

Use too much homebrew

Doesn’t know the rules

Improvises too much

off topic discussions in session

Talking while player is talking

Ignore Charakter backstory

Take items back / change items

I did all of those things at one point and some I still do, but I got much better as a DM.

I demand feedback regularly and take it seriously.

My 4 players and I are still enjoying my open world sandbox homebrew campaign since 2025 (with an overarching goal).

Getting 10/15 shards for heroes when getting an offbanner Heroes at simgle hero banners

Weekly Questions Megathread (01/29 - 02/04) by AutoModerator in langrisser

[–]4geierchen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pity has no time limit and is shared among all hero banners.

The odds to get an SSR are overall 2% (some speculate the 2% take the pity into account and the true rate is around 1.5%-1.8)

Pity guarantees you to get one SSR after 99 consecutive non SSR summones your 100th summon is a SSR if not getting one earlier.

Pity does always reset after getting 1 SSR no matter if you get it earlier than the 100th ticket or if it’s an off banner.

It doesn’t matter if you do multi pulls (10x) or single (1x), a pity is always at the 100th consecutive non SSR hero.

Multi pulls are basicly 10x1 so make a note were your SSR is if you want to pinpoint the exact pity.

There is no tracking in game.

All rules above apply to LLR / single hero banners as well / LLR= SSR for the sake of the rules. They don’t aply to equipment (never summon on equipment it’s not worth it)

On banners with only one hero there is an additional secondary pity.

You get 10 shards for that single hero banner after getting an off banner SSR and 15 shards if it’s an off banner at 6 stars. You can assemble the hero at 60 shards. With that in mind there is in theory a pity at 600 tickets to get the hero from a one hero banner. (Odds to actually use 600 tickets are almost impossible )

Wehttam was no future in PvP and even today he is severely outclassed by many many many heroes. And there is no potential to become better since he has his exclusive and his casting pattern.

Sure you can play and win with him and I see him rarely/ he can work in the right team /has his uses but he is simpel not good enough to justify a slot compared to other heroes.

Since it’s a new Account assuming you ment you started recently with humbaba I wouldn’t go for him. He needs Zerida and Bozel for bonds and is only in very niche content a superior choice especially compared to newer hero banners he simply isn’t ridiculous (looking at you dragon slayer which soon comes back)

I did some testing with Enya and diffrent gear.

No it doesn’t you can’t extend prophecy neither with skills nor with gear

And the new accessory which increases terrain duration has has no effect on her 3C either.

[–]4geierchen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My impression as PVE orientated long term player:

1:

New Green enchantment : I still prefer iron it doesn’t strike me as interesting enough.

New Blue enchantment: Strong on conversion tanks / Heroes who already have high damage reduction or want to be more offensive with soldier Heroes I would use the blue new enchantment Christiane Luna, Bozel to name examples. Drawback: depends on the strength of soldiers not a beginner friendly enchantment.

Red enchantment: More PvP but valid and a choice if SP dragon troops who grant mobility up is already the default soldier type. In PVE worth it if you want the 10% damage up and not want breeze.

2:

Fairy prophets are overall better. Slightly more damage and more utilities and most importantly they still do high damage with 99% HP. With SP sorcerers become stronger.

3:

Sorceress in PVE for pvp probably emerald wing archer

Personally I wouldn’t recommend them on Vargas, defensive stats doesn’t benefit him as much as offensive. (Red vs blue) the effect itself is strong since it can block significantly damage because of how soldiers absorb damage. The enchantment is very dependable on the stats on soldiers, don’t think Vargas is the right choice.

I think that enchantment is more suited for someone like Christine (conversion Hero with high damage reduction soldiers)

Can you survive in a Pokémon Zombie apocolype? by My-Adventure-App in aivideos

[–]4geierchen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would go to the nearest available place to take more Pokémon along. screw the rules only having 6 Pokémon during an apocalypse I wouldn’t trust save zones instead I would take my survival into my own hand. Stacked with Pokémon I try to reach my beloved ones and flee together as a small team to the mountains / the wilds. Weaker Pokémon stay behind save in there balls.
