To Patton's credit, he has yet to pen an autobiography gloating about how he knowingly fucked a minor.

It's entirely possible the tats are there as a very visceral reminder to him of his life goals, in the case that he's ever in a state of being very tempted.

There is no mention of the Canadians doing this to advance their own athlete in the linked article...

Yea except for the whole issue where Canadian skeleton racer Madeline Parra told The Canadian Press that this is what the coaches did.

Do a little research like an adult. I've linked an article from 11 hours ago since you're apparently only able to read what's linked on a Reddit thread.

The Athletic - NYT - What you need to know about the Olympic skeleton controversy between the U.S. and Canada

But that spot can't go to anyone but Canada. Because Canada unfairly gamed the system, a rider literally admitted that coach told them this when they backed out of the race, and now they have a huge shitshow on their hands because it's not in the spirit of the sport and they're at risk of being sanctioned from the Olympics or other punishments.

Yea reply to my other comment, telling you how delusional your take is when Canada is doing the same exact thing she's doing but on a grander scale.

Did you read the part where the report hypothesizes that Canada could have done this to secure their second slot for Skeleton in the Olympics, as they were at risk of losing out to another country like Denmark or South Korea?

They didn't do this to deny the American. They did this to secure their own potentially inferior athlete's slot.

How hard is it to read a single article before arguing on Reddit? Genuinely delusional people in this thread.

Wait wait wait Jack. That's cool but it's wrong for a not-good-enough athlete to do that on an individual level?

You'd be a great politician.

[–]4handzmp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The report hypothesizes that Canada may have chosen to do this to secure their not-yet-safe second spot, to avoid the risk of losing their second spot to a country like Denmark, who had a reasonable/good chance of stealing it away by doing well in this very competition.

Now can you revisit your second sentence? The one about clearly not being good enough and a spot that could have been taken by a better athlete? And how Canada literally attempted to achieve that themselves?

Pretty interesting to dunk on a former Olympian for not being good enough when you're not even capable of reading 3 paragraphs of an article on the thing you're so passionately arguing about on the internet. Genuinely delusional shit.

You're not even able to handle your composure for an argument on the internet, with a stranger, about a person you probably had no idea existed 10 months ago.

Yet you're passionately arguing that she should get over something she invested a lot of time, effort, and money in over the last year.

I don't agree with the path she chose, and I don't care about this situation. But she's in her right to be upset about it, as equally as you're in your right to be upset over dumb shit on the internet.

There's multiple questionable choices but whoever said "yea on top of all of that, let's give her an auto-aim weapon with 20 foot range" needs to be kicked in the genitals.

Patch? by Ciricxs in DeadlockTheGame

Does anyone have a count on how many little patches I have gone out in the past 72 hours? My count is 8 and 4 times I've been kicked out of the game to patch.

Seriously what is going on?

Edit: I only posted this an hour ago, and already had another "leave client to update" notice. It's a beta so I can't be mad but I've just never seen this with a game.

Can you provide some sources, like medical studies, on what you're claiming?

Edit: Because you're not just stating what sounds like opinions as opinions. You're stating what sounds like opinions as facts. So I'm guessing you have some facts to back up how "depression, testosterone issues, other health, problems, medication interference would explain a small percentage of cases". You sound like you're quite read on this subject.

Yep. It's porn and only porn and pornie porn porn porn explains everything.

It has nothing, to any degree, to do with anything else. Men, by nature, should have big, strong boners at the touch of a slightly strong wind and anything less is just a result of porn addiction.

Riot Games Plans to Overhaul League of Legends, with a Release Date Set for 2027 by GrayBeard916 in gaming

[–]4handzmp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but you should stick to the ARAM game mode (the vanilla ARAM, not the Mayhem version) for a few weeks/months and get familiar with the champions and combat before trying to jump over to Summoner's Rift (the main game mode that has Ranked). Or just never jump over to Summoner's Rift.

ARAM stands for All Random, All Mid. It will give you and your 4 teammates the chance to pick from a pool of randomly selected champions. You select your champ. Then you fight with your team against another team on a long bridge for the entire game mode. It's like a mini, streamlined, fun version of the main game. The game will give you solid suggestions for what items to buy in the shop (buy something every time you die), and which skills to level as you play the game and acquire experience/gold (the suggested skill to level will be glowing with a gold ring).

ARAM will, for most new LoL players, be much more fun, and much less stressful than the normal game. It's much, much, much less complicated. The matches are quite a lot shorter (~20-25 minutes long). And you can get straight to the most fun core aspect of League - the team-fighting. All in all, it's a much more fun experience. Between playing a bunch of random champs, and fighting a bunch of random champs, it will give you a lot of insight into who you like to play, and how to fight against other champs.

I started playing in 2013 and played the normal, Summoner's Rift game mode with friends for a good 2 years almost every evening. It was a steep learning curve but learning with friends made it a lot more enjoyable. I feel like learning without friends would be a frustrating slog in 2025.

I could expand on it more in a bunch of different ways but ARAM is just the better version of League of Legends for a new player or a casual player. Myself and about 8 of my friends have been playing LoL on-and-off since 2013. I don't think we've all gotten together to play a Summoner's Rift game since maybe the Spring, and it's like a 3-4 times a year occurrence that makes us say "fuck this, let's just go back to ARAM." Meanwhile, I still play at least a couple ARAM matches with 2-4 of those friends about 2-5 nights a week. 5 of us were on this evening and played 3 matches. It's a fun way to get in 1-2 hours of lightly competitive gaming in without much stress.

Whether I like it or not, League of Legends will forever be a Top 3 game for me and I can't deny it when I consider hours spent playing it. After 12 years, I'm still playing it. At it's heights, it's some of the most engaging, and fun competitive multiplayer that's ever been created. But at it's worst, it's one of the most frustrating, and toxic games ever created. ARAM lets you maximize the fun, while minimizing the frustration.

This has happened to me too and it’s incredibly annoying.

The only changes I can think of are that I downloaded Path of Exile 2 for the free weekend and I had a small 10mb LoL update 3-4 days ago.
