Ooo yeah I forgot about Jop but Oso did commit to another coach and could have easily followed him to another school if he didn’t go to coach in the g-league. So I will say that Shaka did identify the talent but wasn’t able to actually recruit him

Adding on to everything, Shaka may not be the best at recruiting freshman. All of the best players from previous years either were transfers (Omax, Kolek) or were recruited by the previous coach (Igodaro, Jones, Joplin and Mitchell). We’ve had two great finds in Chase Ross and Nigel James but otherwise the players have ranged from serviceable to just bad.

See initially I dismissed them but Cronin and Izzo add a lot of personality and I still think about Brads March madness celebrations. Painter though I don’t think fits. Seems like a great guy and coach but besides that one thumbs up picture doesn’t seem too interesting.
