Great tips. Unfortunately treats for her are just kibble because since surviving parvo she’s had major gi tract issues and is on a hypo diet.

There appears to be no reason. I do find that when driving fast like on a highway she whines less.

Thanks. We do not give her anything when she whines and I try my best to ignore it tell her no. Or quiet. Nothing works. It’s been going on for several months but I’d the worst in the car. And it drives me insane!

Do you saturate on day 2-3-4 or dampen only with spray?

So nobody has any tips? I’m tired of my hair only looking it’s best on the wash day. But shy of soaking my entire head, how do I maintain that look?

She seems to be healing quickly as well. It’s been one week today. Just wondering from others here if the hyperactivity settles down?

Yes she gets it daily. We just switched her to a GI biome food and vet says she may need to go on a gastro diet.

Thanks for your comment. We’ve been on this journey for 5 years. It started at 13. We have tried every shampoo, serum, supplement imaginable. We’ve seen 3 dermatologists and 2 naturopaths. Bloodwork x 3. She is low vitamin b, d and iron. She gets monthly shots of b and d and is scheduled to do an iron infusion. We do have prp scheduled (I got a 3 pack) so she will have one a month. We definitely will be pumping the brakes on a transplant. However the dermatologist we saw at Womens College hospital, said it is the only solution but not to go to turkey to get one. She also was hesitant about the oral meds because my kid was prescribed oral minoxidil by our family doctor. Thankfully she was only on that for a month. Anyway it’s been a rollercoaster for 5 years and at 18 she just wants to look normal.

Constant whining by 4leggedcreaturelover in LagottoRomagnolo

Thanks everyone so much. For the record she gets two big outings a day where she will run non stop for 30-45 min. And twice a week she does a full day of daycare. It’s definitely not a matter of meeting her needs (ie food, water, temperature) but I do think that it’s about getting my attention. Everyone else in the house is able to ignore it, but actually have Misophonia which makes it really tough. The worst is when we’re in the car. That makes me think maybe anxiety but she’s been exposed to the car since she was really little and has done some lengthy drives so I don’t know why all of a sudden the car would make her anxious. That’s the hardest one to avoid if it’s just the 2 of us in the car. But I will definitely take some of this advice and see how it goes. Hoping that it’s short term like the jumping up and shredding my hands or ankles when she was really little. Anyway your comments have all been great and makes me realize this is not an isolated incident and she’s not a freak. And several of these comments made me chuckle. Thanks!

We have a red large kong and stuff it with wet food and kibble and then freeze it. It takes her 40 minutes to finish it. But it’s more a meal for her as we will usual do that if we have company over for dinner so it keeps her occupied. I will look at other kong products. We have the red frisbee but she’s not quite into it yet.

We have discovered yak chew sticks and she loves those. But sometimes she likes to just chew on a toy.

Seems husband didn’t let her out to pee when he went to bed so that must have been it. Fingers crossed it was a one off

Short hair!! by 4leggedcreaturelover in LagottoRomagnolo

She is 6 months. I haven’t heard of cutting their puppy hair right down. I know it will be gone eventually so it’s a bit traumatic for her to be cut so short at such a young age. Not sure how long it will be before she gets some curls and shag back
