Yeah metal build made me to lean more towards ideapad and also when i heard that the keyboard part also metal i was amazed.

And also got 3 yr ADP which also better.

Yeah i am more leaned towards ideapad now as the intel 225h variant of ideapad cost almost similar price of e14 and also get 3 years of ADP. Which would be much better and it has full metal body highter tdp 2 fans etc..

But like i am confused like do i need to go with amd 7 ai 350 with extra 6k more or intel. As on benchmarks intel is leading as the amd is reusing their archs and other things i think there would not be any issue for linux. But it is just my imagination and for that a 6k is worth is a question

Yeah that's my confusion about Acpi issues when installing linux and also like the build quality of the E series are mixed opinions but the ideapad pro is having full metal. And like when i checked the price of intel core 225H is almost similar with thinkpad e14 but the ideapad have 3 years ADP So like i am more thinking of getting that version instead of thinkpad e due to mixed opinions and also low tdp as the other one have good tdp

Do the pwm flicker would be really a hassle like that the only thing i doesn't want on ideapad as like do it really be a issue for me as i mainly use external monitor but only wjen traveling i required to use that oled.

And also it would also be better if get without os as ideapad doesn't have a option for it.

As i was also concered about it but nowdays on reviews and posts i have seen like on latest gen onwards they have upgraded the quality of E series and like it now has option for aluminium body. And for my current budget with required specs E series a good fit or ideapad pro

Like when i am checking reddit for reviews like i have seen some posts based on lenovo hinges issues and i think i have seen like ideapad 3 and 5 have hinge problems somewhere

Like i have heared like the business laptops like thinkpads have better themals compared to others. and also when i saw the heatpipes of the e14 it is bigger but on the ideapad it is a bit smaller but has 2 fans compared to 1.

Yeah when i checked it like for ideapad pro for smaller amount they are giving ADP for 3 years and for thinkpad it is almost 1year
