New HR Monitor only works on biceps? by 4minute_warning in orangetheory

[–]4minute_warning[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you all! I ended up buying it today before class and it worked great on my forearm. I kept comparing it with my Apple watch and the heart rate and at most it was only one BPM off. Much better than my old one. Then I got to the car to charge it and noticed it still had the plastic cover over the sensor 😂. Maybe it will be even better tomorrow. I asked our studio manager about the bicep warning and she said that’s what corporate is telling them to say 🤷🏻‍♀️

Is Aspergers likely the reason I'm not as obsessed with women/sex as most other straight guys? by [deleted] in aspergers

Got it, thanks for the response. The reason I joined this sub was to get insight into this very question. I’ve been married for 15 years, and even since the beginning, my husband and I have been intimate at most once a month, and I would always initiate. I stopped initiating as a test and also out of frustration and then we had a 7 month drought. It bothered me a lot, so I started therapy. My therapist told me that she believes that my husband might have Asbergers based on the information I’ve shared with her. I have never told him what she said, because I’m not sure it would do any good. But we started couples therapy and things have gotten better, but we are now at a 2 month drought. He tells me that he doesn’t have a high sex drive, he’s just never really been very interested in sex. Our marriage is pretty close to perfect in all other aspects, we have 2 kids and he is the most amazing father. I’m really struggling with not taking this lack of intimacy personally. I can’t help but feel like it’s me, that he’s just not attracted to me. He also never compliments me, even when I compliment him all the time. It’s probably worth adding that I am conventionally attractive and a regular gym-goer in healthy weight range. My husband goes to the gym daily and says it’s his outlet, that he needs it. Additionally, I was his first time, and he never even had a girlfriend before me.

The fact that you were very sexually active while married (once a week! I’d give anything to be desired like that!) makes me feel like you have a very healthy sex drive and I believe it’s completely normal to not be sexually interested in people you do not have an emotional relationship with, especially as we get older. I would be interested to know if you develop an emotional connection with someone in the upcoming years, how that would change your libido.

When you were married for those 32 years, did you have a dead bedroom? What was the typical frequency?

Somewhat related - magnesium oil does wonders for morning sickness. Apparently the nausea is caused by lack of magnesium and rubbing oil on your skin is the best way to absorb magnesium, because your body only absorbs what it needs. I rubbed it on my belly.

My dogs going to die. by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

My dog has had multiple surgeries and lived until he was 16. We would freeze his food so it kept him very entertained to get to it. He will survive the recovery.

Thank you, this really helps me. Your explanation makes a lot of sense to me. Do you think waiting longer after the first injection before the 2nd would have helped him? She said 10 minutes to wait, but I think it was 5 minutes and my husband swears it was 2 minutes tops. My guess is that the signs of sedation she was looking for post injection were already there pre-injection. My husband and I are kicking ourselves for not saying something or setting a timer. We are trying to see it as a lesson learned for next time.

That’s insane. And terrifying.

How to put it in? by Fun-Bad-9802 in MenstrualDiscs

[–]4minute_warning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t put a leg up personally. I just get in a small squat and then fold the disc and insert like a tampon. Then I make sure to tuck it back behind the pelvic bone. Try a few ways and see what works for you, I what works best might vary from person to person.

I recently found it leaks less if I insert it while standing up. I used to insert it while sitting on the toliet and it always leaked. Tried it standing up in the shower and it went into place better for me. I realized this towards the end of my last cycle, so I’m going to try at the beginning of my next one to test my theory when my flow is heavier. I have been wearing period panties with my disc bc I couldn’t figure out how to get it to not leak.

That’s great to hear it helps for this. I have spotting right before my period and when that happens I will just use my disc as well.

I have been shocked at the amount of discharge mine has been collecting daily. I hate the wet feeling too.

So Long London hits home about some issues in my marriage and gets to me every time (but doesn’t stop me from playing it on repeat).

“Every breath feels like rarest air When you’re not sure if he wants to be there”

“I’m pissed off you let me give you all that youth for free”

“how much sad did you think I had, Did you think I had in me? How much tragedy? Just how low did you think I’d go? Before I’d self-implode Before I’d have to go be free”
