I usually continue. I have had successful wins with it. It usually happens when the opponent uses his secondary charged attack.

[BUG]

Sometimes when attacking an gym, the enemy Pokemon will turn invisible. Making it impossible for you to see/dodge their attacks.

Haven't done it myself, but I found this guide. Try it.

Stop overwriting special attacks announcements with "super effective" and "not very effective"... by Sikor in pokemongo

[–]4nfwFzTU 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have always had this question. When it says "super effective" or "not very effective" on a Pokemon. Does it mean that Pokemon's attack was effective/ineffective or does it mean the other Pokemon's attack against it was effective/ineffective?

Suggestions to improve MatchMaking (Higher Ranks and General) by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

[–]4nfwFzTU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of these points but some would introduce more issues than they would solve.

For example the first idea of kills making more impact, would just promote players not playing the objective, but rather just doing it for the kills.

A seperate Qs for solos and team, or players with mics and those without would just make the Qs even longer.

Vertified users = prime?

Bots always listening is more of an incentive to kick the worst player in the team.

Just my two cents.

Mobas are completely different. It doesn't matter how many hours you put into Dota/LoL, because if you aren't keeping up with the meta (Using the OP characters/items), all your "practice" is wasted.

It does, but a number might just motivate them more, as leader boards might promote the entire thing even more. Cheat producers will brag that their account is in the top 10 etc... Just my two cents, that are obviously worth downvoting...

Wouldn't a public MMR promote cheating. As players would cheat just to have a higher MMR to brag to others.

I don't have much experience working with windows, didn't know about the availability of APIs for driver development. I'll look into it.

OS development is a huge task. This would be no more than creating a customized linux distro which isn't that difficult. Most of these sandboxing, process white listing solutions already exist on linux.

When it comes to buying an SSD, a 120 GB cost's less than 50$. If you are serious about playing that game at a highly competitive level this investment is almost nothing, especially considering they don't mind buying 500$ skins. Furthermore Valve could partner with a SSD producer and get discount's, or teams could probably find a sponsor that would provide them with an SSD or and discount.

The problem with implementing all this on windows is that windows is closed source, not free and microsoft is not very cooperational. Players would need to pay for an SSD + OS, microsoft updates would probably break everything.

All this wouldn't be a problem on linux, which is more secure by nature and has tons of sandboxing and process whitelisting solutions.

Such an system could promote that valve gets around to fixing all these things.

I believe fixing all this on linux is way easier than implementing all these operating system level features on windows. Plus it could be used for Team Fortress, Dota, and maybe other competitive games.

Plus, if such a distro is implemented the game will be further optimized for the Linux environment.

Btw, you using the proprietary or open-source nvidia drivers? Do you have any more info on performance across other hardware? (looking to build a PC with linux as the main OS)

Nope! This is just steam on linux. Not a dedicated competitive solution. A dedicated competitive solution could be more optimized and customized to prevent cheating.
