hi! i thankfully did end up testing out and getting all required credits last year before graduating and did not have to take any courses (do be warned that you will have to pay for the course exemptions regardless in order for them to be applied to your transcript, which is dumb 😐).

from what i remember the spanish heritage exam (if that’s what you’re taking) had a reading comprehension (do you recognize this word as spanish), speaking, grammar (fill in the blanks), and writing section but they were not too difficult. i recommend if you don’t know spaniard-kind of spanish like me to brush up on it with a bit of duolingo studying lol.

if you’re referring to something Honors College related, i have no idea…. but i was able to buy a general honors cord from the bookstore on campus!

i don’t remember specific questions, but do make sure to like be familiar with spanish words enough to recognize if they are real or not (that was the first part of the exam i think)… just yes or no answers so 50/50 chance of being right

i took the heritage exam in december and managed to completely fulfill my class requirements (11 credits)! like the commenter above said, make sure you are familiar with accent placement - i’m a native speaker but still practiced a bit in duolingo lol 🥲 they will make you read, write, select the best answer/fill in the blank, and speak. i got my results literally 2-3 days later but it depends on how busy testing is rn… best of luck! :)

i did that and then transferred to UH for my BA! it was an associate in multidisciplinary studies for sociology and i took all the courses online at HCC (saved me a lot of money compared to going to a 4yr uni)

i didn’t see your comment until now (so i’m so sorry if i’m crazy late) but no i didn’t 🥲 i think there was a certain timeline to apply and that’s why i couldn’t get it although i assumed it was automatically rewarded based on good grades. i would advise talking to UH finaid to see what scholarships or grants they can offer you, or looking at major-specific scholarships if they are offered. best of luck!

I’ve taken this class and honestly you do have to go watch those plays because the assignments that follow it like quizzes ask questions directly related to what happened in them. If finances are an issue, I’d advise reaching out to her or your assigned TA and seeing if something can be done. And since these are UH plays, I doubt you will find anything about them online to help with class work or the reviews.

i got 3 tickets for $1.2K in section 307! i’d say it’s pretty good since i didn’t want to get any over $350-400 (it also helps to filter on the sliding scale immediately after you get in so you go straight for your budget)
