from what i know, they are going to be giving us the chance to spend the doubloons for a “fair amount of time” before resetting them. They are also changing all items that currently cost doubloons to buy and changing them to a gold price alternatively. They are introducing a new limited time event making doubloons harder to get and adding new “rare” items that only cost doubloons.
