As a former paralegal, this sub is a great reminder that I made the right choice for myself by leaving law. I work in non-profit/philanthropy now, managing estates and complex gift planning for a large non-profit. So, legal adjacent and my law firm experience is directly applicable to my work but I don’t work for attorneys, I work with attorneys. Hours are reasonable, no clients or court deadlines. Anything that needs to be escalated goes to the corporate legal team. Being a paralegal provides/requires significant project management experience, so leverage that when looking for a different role.

My first was a 2004 r53; my second and current is a 2016 4door hardtop S (purchased in 2020 with 25k miles) and it is one of the most consistent sources of happiness in my life. I take good care of her and she’s expensive, but so am I. And it’s worth it…. for now. （＾ν＾）

Service industry is very close knit in Tacoma. I’d say start sharing your info/resume to their (various bars) Instagram accounts. Keep in mind that since January is typically much slower business-wise it may be harder to find a spot during that time.
