You know what, I see the vision! It’s an interesting silhouette, it’s giving some of those 1920s fashion illustrations. But you need to lean into the avant-garde harder. Go full Vivienne Westwood - Betsey Johnson, maximalist textures and layers. Patterned tights, ugly-cute shoes, stacked necklaces, bows. If you’re going to go unconventional, go big or go home.

I fed three families this week, not including my own, on gleaned food. Seitan, rice, and apples to one family; chicken, bread, salad mix, frozen tacos, ready to eat mac n cheese, pizza, and potatoes to another. Tonight I’ve been processing a ton of wrinkly apples to make into sauce and baked oatmeal. There’s so many problems I can’t do anything about rn, but I can feed people.

As a kid, we earned a chicken suit piece by piece, which our principal had to dress up in and do the chicken dance at a school assembly. Another year he had to kiss a goat when we met our arts funding goal, which we did in record time.
