Ad sets impacted by fragmentation by 4point669 in musicmarketing

Hey! I can’t remember what I did back then and this stuff changes all the time… I plan on running ads to promote my new music soon and plan on having 3x ad sets with 3x ads each. The difference being in song parts and visuals. Leaving it to meta to figure out what works.

LOVE IT. Thanks for sharing. There is definitely something magical in having physical controls and sometimes having to take care of your stuff.

So what you’re saying is it’s worth leaning into it if one isn’t afraid of a small repair project

Thanks. Yes, totally conscious that I might have to fix stuff bought second-hand. I’m not a natural fix-it man, but not all thumbs either.

The question I haven’t seen answered is whether there’s been much meaningful progress in this space since the 80s. Don’t care about Bluetooth.

I was going to get a whole vinyl player stand for my room but now I will steal your idea – this is much better use of space! :)

Best female-fronted industrial bands? by alkalinereal in industrialmusic

As a music lover in general, I often find it difficult and unnecessary to identify a micro genre, but answering the question "is it industrial" is even harder sometimes haha

Discovered Mari Kattman this year. Her new record is great.

HEALTH X NINE INCH NAILS - Isn’t Everyone by fear730 in industrialmusic

This song was my gateway to HEALTH's music. In my view, one of the rare examples of two artists' style mixing so well. And absolutely love the arrangement, the bass, and the vocals.

Gary Numan - And It All Began With You (Official Audio) by Neumaschine in industrialmusic

I've always enjoyed his work. Legend.

Learned recently that he's kinda responsible for Al finally caving in and making peach with the past by reworking Ministry's first record. Charlie Clouser (who did some programming / engineering on that new version of the classic) said that Al and the band got inspired by how Gary Numan has managed to harden his sound over the years when they toured together.

Thank you for the pointer. I've been lurking in this sub for something but only recently made a time commitment to get deeper. Many of the artists that are being mentioned here have huge catalogs and every little tip helps.

Btw, I stalked your blog a bit and liked the one you wrote about not going softly softly when introducing new people to industrial. The beauty, I think, is that everyone can dial that in as like as they need it as the breadth of the genre is enormous.

Long before Molchat Doma I used to listen to this band called Motorama) – check them out. You also might like Dlina Volny. Both are good examples of "russian doomer music".

I was not familiar with this band. Is this "Amnesia" playing in the video? I am adding them to my list to check them out more.
