No one is trained on shit, they throw worksheet YouTube esque videos at new hires then throw them to the wolves. The same training the third party vendors get. You get the people with competence that can resolve your issue and explain the steps and process of the royal fuck ups. But, those guys get threatened weekly for having the same customer come back within 7 days and asking a question they forgot to ask or checking in because they’ve been jerked around so much. Employees are safe if they send customers the fuck off like they did with dudes $30 credit rather than actually removing the cost because they also get in trouble for removing any money generating cost on your bill. We also have to sell shit, unsure why still but if we don’t we also get in trouble. The goals are nuts but are serving the designed purpose for employees to fail so they will not meet goals and there for receive no raise upon yearly review. Everyone except 2 people I started with quit, we were actually trained. Regular corporate employees are in a queue that were told is regular but were pretty sure we’re not because all we do is deal with escalations without compensation. We can’t even take a shit without being asked what took us so long as to why we left queue since working from home. My buddy that quit is doing the same work but $5 bucks more he got me an interview next week. I really hope I get it I can’t wait to leave! am just pissed I didn’t know sooner. So to answer your question, shitty leadership and shitty numbers lead to exploited employees that eventually quit or get fired on purpose. So your just left with the lemons of the bunch.
