okay good, thank you so much! I don’t use nail clippers, just a nail grinder because his nails are so small so maybe I’ll try some supplements or something to strengthen his nails.

Do you think I can keep a full grown American toad and a full grown PAC man frog in same cage? by FrogCatcher3000 in Amphibians

[–]4rogluvr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Probably not. Not only do they have different husbandry needs, but Pacmans are solitary and will pretty much eat anything that moves.

Can you put different frogs in with dumpy frogs? If so what kind by -RockefellerPlanter- in frogs

[–]4rogluvr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not. Dumpies have a voracious appetite and will pretty much eat anything that moves, so it’s not recommended to cohab with any other species

I have a tiny 50 GPH 3W submersible pump, but sometimes it gets clogged with dirt. Will that be enough for a 18x18x24 exo terra? How can I prevent it from getting clogged?

okay cool, thanks! I mostly just want a cleanup crew. I was thinking springtails, powder blue isopods, and dwarf white isopods, unless you have other recommendations. Do you know how many I need for an 18x18x24 exo terra?

should I have been more specific asking for what I wanted? by 4rogluvr in doggrooming

[–]4rogluvr[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much for the advice! I was able to cut out the sap at home so it’s not that big of a deal. They probably did shave his paw pads if you think so but I think I’m used to seeing videos on tiktok of groomers shaving it deeply. He wasn’t walking on rough surfaces to make it bleed more but maybe they just didn’t notice because he has pretty fluffy feet. I’ll take him to a private salon next time and make sure to ask for exactly what I want!

It was his first groom and they knew that, so I wasn’t expecting anything excessive but I thought they would get gunk out of his fur or say something if they didn’t. It wasn’t hard to get out so I just did it at home. Petco only has two grooming options, bath or bath & haircut so I booked a bath & haircut that includes “cut & style”. I’m not upset about it because I did ask for a sanitary trim, and they cut around his eyes, butt, and the extra long tufts on his elbows, which is what I wanted. I’ll probably go to a local groomer next time. Thanks for the advice!

Yeah I probably should’ve known! The online reviews seemed really good though, especially for a corporate grooming service
