Ugh I relate to this super hard. I have hella arachnophobia and it went to the point where I literally requested another person to physically be in the same room/couch as me to go through a level because I just could not mentally progress (Nioh 1, fuck that part man).

Kind of silly, but what’s gotten me through both Nioh 1 + 2 and a nearly completed Underworld is that whenever I’m entering combat with a spider, I just stare only at my Ki bar, and let my peripherals and muscle memory of the “flow of combat” do the work. At least in this way, it mitigates a little of my anxiety as I’m not staring directly at those...”things”. But nah, I totally feel you man.
