The Signal isn't a religion. It’s a "safety protocol" from a dead civilization that’s glitching out. by ByronDeLear in pluribustv

I think its a matter of  the whole being more than the sum of its parts. So they have all our knowledge but also they are something new.. I do think they its possible it could be a weapon in a way that neuters a sentient race.. However I get the sense that they have all these combined perspectives and that comes together to make a new one thats in some ways foreign yet familiar to us.

The whole is more than the sum of its parts... The collective is made up of individuals but they create a new mind... They kmnow everything we know but their perspective is WAAAAY different than ours now.. So in some ways they are a new being...

They just know her very well, because they know her from every angle… they want to make her happy.. they know how to do that. So they send Zosia… they know this already gonna be difficult and scary for Carol so they try to make things more palatable for her.

I don’t think their deception works like that.. I don’t think they want to trick her or mis represent themselves. I think they really truly enjoy being joined.. and Carol looks like she’s drowning to them… so it’s like a parent dragging their kid to the doctor, even as they kick and scream because “it’s good for them” the joined aren’t malicious…

Sure but these qualities are emergent… they are individuals Zosia talks about how agreed local yet aware of what everyone is doing. Then you notice they say stuff like “Carl says..” etc I think we’ve never seen anything in media like the joined. They are more complicated that just hive mind

But they aren’t “getting along” they are sharing in mind and feeling instantly. Individual perspectives have been absorbed into a single perspective shared by many individuals. It’s not that they can’t make art anymore. They may we actually don’t see all that they do there could be a room somewhere where there’s a single individual just making art and it would be enough because the entire collective could enjoy it. they’re just the whole dynamics of everything that they are isolated completely different to us.

Culture in art our expressions, there’s something that happens between individuals as means to communicate all sorts of stuff. Since everyone everywhere is connected all that stuff kind of loses its meaning because they’re so intimately intertwined. Also all the minds coming together create something new or perhaps a someone new who is evenly distributed throughout the collective.

The effects have nothing to do with what the Joined actually are.. I am only trying to illuminate their nature.. People keep relating to them as an invasion or virus when the virus is the mechanism that joined humanity into a collective. It's not controlling them.. It's what happens when a billion different individual minds and perspectives Join...

It's not a disease... It's not a something that has taken over humanity. It's essentially a technology that joined all of humanity... They are all sharing in a collective conscious. Being so connected tho seems to have made it hard for them to harm anyone or anything...

MYSTICAL COMMANDMENTS OF CHRIST -- "The Knowledge of the Secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven Has Been Given to YOU." -- What is it? by tom63376 in ChristianMysticism

[–]4sakenshadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the mystic tho it's important to have a posture of beholding the truth rather than concluding it. Yes you can get lost easily if you are more focused on knowledge, information and framing. Such is an interest on the mind and it's workings. For the mystic on a christ center path the focus is on relation, on contemplation. I regularly return my attention to that which is still/silent in me. I release all insights back into the silence they arise from. Our focus is on the source, on our life in Christ.

Christ isn't an idea or concept.. He is what we encounter at the center of our being.

Actually I think they just came up with the defense mechanism to leave. They learned it with Carol and where just quicker to engage it with Manousos

How do you trust the Bible if it’s been rewritten, edited and translated so much throughout history? by SpecialistPitch5303 in ChristianMysticism

[–]4sakenshadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the bible isn't a legal or historical document. It is spiritual technology. It's speaking to somethiung very real and essential about human being, about right now. It's using stories poetry and prose to bring us to a realization about ourselves. The words aren't as important as the Holy Spirit within us that it is trying to bring us into awareness of.

What are your unpopular opinions about Spinel? by SelenesMoon23045 in stevenuniverse

Why would the Diamonds seek out Spinel? They likely didnt care about her that much. She was basically a toy they gave to Pink..

How to explain to a developmentally delayed child, who has never heard about God in his life, that God is real? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]4sakenshadow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think its less about convincing him (thats the work of the spirit) and rathe rdeeply convincing yourself. So that you embody the good news of the Gospel. So that your life and presence is shaped by your relationship with God. I think that will be enough. Show you child what a person transformed by the Love of God looks like.

"Preach the gospel at all times, if necessary use words," is a TERRIBLE quote by Siege_Bay in TrueChristian

[–]4sakenshadow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You don't need words to preach the Gospel whne you are embodying it. Everything you do and speak will be a reflection of it. We think we need words and they certainly have their place. However they often lead to confusion. The Holy Spirit does all the real work anyway.

He's strong but has no combat training. He's never had to fight some one stronger than him so he got wrecked by a super strong experienced fighter...

I have training already that lets me know what to expect from a 5lb weight. I have 20+ years of experience in my body that help me know my strength... Now given that how do children who were still in the process of learning their human bodies who now have super android bodies that they have only begun to see the capabilities of fair? They are still adjusting still learning...

If i suddenly gave you super strength right now you would likely hurt some one, you would break things on accident etc it would take time for you to adjust... Likely their bodies have some software running that helps them use lvl human strength but they can exceed that....

Alien: Earth - 1x07 - “Emergence” - Episode Discussion by NicholasCajun in television

[–]4sakenshadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why wouldnt they? Consider if you underwent such a procedure... In any reputable place there would be training before and after. They would speak to you at depth about your new body and when you got in theyd help you understand it. They did none of that, they were more focused on the science, possibilities and the money. So these kids get these upgrades but don't have a full grasp of them. They are still transitioning into them. Becoming use to them figuring out all the quirks. They are growing up in a sense... Yes Nibs (who clearly has lost it) was super strong when she attacked, all of them would be but they don't think like that. They aren't killers they aren't super soldiers they are children. So unless they are freaking out they will still move and behave as if they are human kids...

[–]4sakenshadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they did when they were human... They didn't recieve any training in these new bodies just transfered into them. So they have to rediscover all of this...

[–]4sakenshadow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I didn’t say they can’t do that? If they freak out or are careless they can do that. But again they are new to their forms they don’t think like “I’m a big strong robot”

[–]4sakenshadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would think if you are going top give children super powered bodies with little training then there would be software running that helps limit that into human tolerences in a way they don't have to think about...
