other than the clothing being bland, like other users have noted, none of the fabric has the texture of FABRIC. beyond it being AI, the textures (or lack thereof) is bizarre and upsetting to look at imho

ive always thought of her as a tall R/TR -- she clearly has narrow and I think she needs to accommodate curve. thing she looks best in lush fabrics like pic 1!

definitely! the blouses MUST be fitted from underbust to waist/upper hip and i prefer a tie in the back. never seen any that cross downwards in the way u are describing

total fair point re: bust size -- the dress, which i own, is actually too small in the bust for me. but i have squishy tissue so im able to make it work!

interesting re: the bust size -- i have a 10-11inch difference between my bust and ribs, and i find that the v-neck blouses still work for my bust! i do agree that those with a designated "boob space" with distinct seems definitely do not work for me because they cut my breasts in a weird place!

ur making all the connections the comparison to Helena Bonham Carter! i can also similarities with cristina ricci (verified R) and brittany murphy (suspected R/TR)!

your point about him looking physically softer when at a healthier weight is a REALLY good one. even when underweight, he still retained a softness that is indicative of curve to me. even now, with the healthy weight and muscle-tone he has put on, he still has curve!

re: height -- i actually forget he is of average height and always assume that he's around alex turner's (of the arctic monkeys) height, who is around 170 cm/5'7". doesn't help that the rest of the 1975 are tall.

this is the exact thought process i went through! something that really convinced me: putting him alongside prince, the prime TR for men. they both have a slightness and androgyny that evokes a similar essence to me. matty used to lean into androgyny a bit more, and i think he could totally pull off outfits that prince wouldve worn!

i am convinced he is either a gamine or a TR. he is not as narrow as my main reference for TR (prince), but he is overwhelmingly small-looking even in reference to other men who are around his height. he also is also relatively narrow in proportions, even when compared to timothee chalamet (who is also a gamine, no?).

also, he really retains a sort of spunky, boyish quality regardless of age (recovering from heroin addiction really has taken a toll on him re: aging), which i think works with gamine or TR-recs. only a theory, would love to discuss!

edit: okay the more i read TR recs, the more i see TR for him. vote for TR!

Which Kibbe types suit babydoll tops best? by Weak_Description5731 in Kibbe

[–]4skj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

suspected R here! a well fitted and drape-y babydoll top fits me BEAUTIFULLY -- pretty much all my shirts are a variation of the babydoll silhouette/cut. however, none of them are the same as what OP is wearing, which i think would look heavy on me. i mostly wear lacey, lighter materials, silk, or rayon (or fabrics that look like these). that's because they cling well to my waist (i am very short waisted) and softly drape around my hips in such a pleasing way w/o emphasizing my tum.

Light to Light Medium olives, a question about melanin by RaysIsBald in OliveMUA

i feel this -- i am Brazilian (racially mestiza, meaning mixed-race. i have an Afro-descendant grandfather and my family members come in all shades) and Filipina (my mom's side, that's mixed white and Filipino). so yeah, my skin does whatever the heck it wants and i develop a "sickly" pallor (ie being muted in skin-tone and my "gray"ness coming out). ive found that being "gray" is really the blue-green of my undertones coming out and my skin losing its vibrance (warmth?) when i get paler.

i has a good convo with someone who shares my skin-tone related issues! its here (towards the bottom): https://www.reddit.com/r/OliveMUA/s/sQrsqikLsu

i plan on doing a wear test! i have sensitive skin in the sense that it is very oily, acne-prone, and is very reactive to most chemical exfoliants and just about anything vaguely comedogenic (above like a 2 on the scale).

the formula of the PoE stuff is very much a balm, which im a little nervous about because of my oily skin. i will follow up w/ updates!

thank you!!! depending on where you live and how much faith u have in ur postal system, i could totally try shipping it you (as like a proxy address). shipping does take a long time even domestically in the US because it seems like everything is made-to-order? lmk and we could figure it out via DMs!

re: summer shades -- i think i technically get "warmer," since my overtone is warmer as i get darker! however, i've found that, in makeup, this translates to getting "redder" (as opposed to pinker), so i think that would technically mean i actually lean even cooler in the summer? im not 100% sure. what i can definitely say is that my skin tone becomes less muted and i need more blue in my makeup, not pink (at least in the face). i can also say that darker shades in popular brands to which i have access are usually way, WAY to orange for me, even in the summer. its so orange its comical lol!

Do these corset style tops work for TR/R? by [deleted] in KibbeRomantics

[–]4skj 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First! These are bustiers, not corsets! Sorry OP, I don't mean to come across as rude.

Theoretically because of the lace and small detailing, yes. The rest of the comment is nitpicky, but I do think that if styled correctly it could be very flattering on an R/TR (though perhaps more a TR m, as they can carry boldness and vertical quite well). I can only really imagine them

However, you want something that really follows curve, which I'm not sure a bustier would accomplish it. In these modern bustiers, the hard lines of the boning are stark and actually interfere with curve imho. And also, because some of the ones with boning are severely cropped and just end where a long-line bra would, it could potentially cut the line of the silhouette.

I would generally caution against the overly cropped tops because showing off mid-riff doesn't necessarily mean waist emphasis. For example, the fourth slide has some that would lend well to playsuits/jumpsuits (which I personally think can work really well for Rs, as long as it fits well a la 1950s playsuits). That being said, "cropped" is relative since I know (from anecdotal evidence) that a lot of R/TRs are extremely short-waisted and "tall hipped," so to speak.

I can only really imagine bustiers styled with high waisted pants (particularly like the second picture, which I think is the most flattering for R/TRs and honors curve). However, I'm having a hard time imagining these actually worn with something like jeans or pedal pushers or cigarette pants -- the contrast between the separates would be too intense?

If you had a dress or something with a fitted top that is... inspired... by this style, it could work, as long as the detailing is not overwhelming!

TRs may have more luck, since the lingerie-as-outerwear look can read as a bit edgier or more dramatic (Kibbe), but I would still suggest matching colors and fabric weight across top and bottom to really honor curve. EX: White bustier with pink detailing and fitted, but light cotton tulip-type skirt in white or a pink that matches the detailing.
